I'm seriously very impressed by E3 this year! We actually got thrown a rather large bone from Capcom regarding Resident Evil5 and the trailer was nothing short of fantastic.

I'm foaming at the mouth literally. I cannot wait for RE5. Must. Play. Now.

I've decided to write some RE fan fiction, which I need ideas for. I've come up with several little story overviews, but I just can't decide which to go ahead and write about fully. I'll jot them down here and hopefully you guys can perhaps tell me which you prefer.

Story One:

Story one would be set within the events of RE0/1 from the view of Enrico and bravo team. Using the mansio, sewers and outside area from the Remake would be the locations I'd use.

Story Two:

Story two would be set in a port town (I'm thinking, lots of underwater story type stuff) which is home to Umbrella employees. I'd use Jill as the main character here with a guest appearance from another Alpha member.

Story Three:

Story three would centre around Rodrigo from CV. Telling of the events of how the island was attacked.

Story four:

Story four would feature Wesker, Ada, Leon, Claire and Sherry. Set on a private island in Europe. Weskeris working for his new company.

I know these are very brief, but I'm lazy and will probably develop the most popular one tonight after I've finished playing RE4... for the 80th time or whatever.

I completed Snake Eater last night and the ending was simply amazing, very moving and extremely well written. I'm now playing through Twin Snakes on the gamecube.

I'm also planning a Resident Evil night, I'm going to start with Zero and end with Resident Evil 4 which might take quite a while, but I'll get it done.This will probably get me even more excited about the prospect of Umbrella Chonricles, which makes me want to run out right now and buy a WII. I'll probably buy myself a WII either in August or around Christmas time.

E3 is gonna be awesome this year. I'm expecting a lot of stuff from Metal Gear Solid 4, Bioshock and Halo 3. I never really could get into Halo or Halo 2 for some reason. I never found them to be as ground-breaking as everyone who loves them claims. I hope the third installment will change that for me. I'm also holding out for some Resident Evil 5 information, but I doubt I'll be seeing any information on that anytime soo, sadly.

So, what games are you guys looking forward too?

On another note.. I'd like to thank everyone for making me feel very welcome here at Gamespot! Namely everyone in my friendslist and in the unions I've joined.

I was gob smacked when I picked up the original back in 1997. I was amazed and inspired. I just loved the concept of an evil company experimenting and unleashing all sorts of evil in an isolated area in the woods. The characters were fantastic and I fell in love with the game and the series that day and I was only about 8 or 9 years old! The series has progressed very well over the years with titles such as Resident Evil 2. I'm very optimistic for Resident Evil's future despited little to no information regarding Resident Evil 5. I guess Capcom are finishing Umbrella Chronicles which is understable since the release date is far closer than that of RE5. I have hopes for the 'fifth' game despite there not being a lot of information open to us at this point. I just hope it's alot scarier than Resident Evil, but incorporates alot of features which Resident Evil 4 had, such as the over the shoulder camera and the sheer number of weapons available. I'm also hoping for a few S.T.A.R.S members to return and cover a few bits of information we've not been given regarding Umbrella's demise over the years. I'm also keeping a keen eye on Umbrella Chronicles despite not owning a WII, however I'm planning to buy one just for Umbrella chronicles (I'm a fanboy, I know!). The chance to revisit the Resident Evil universe with better visuals and better gameplay is very appealing.

All in all I'm extremely excited and I hope both games are as amazing as I expect them to be.

it all started with Final Fantasy VII for me. My first RPG ever. It was and still is the most amazing gaming experience I've had to date. The character variation, the soundtrack, the story and the amazing mini-games are all which contributed to it being the most remarkable game ever made, however Final Fantasy seems to be going in a completely new direction and I'm not sure I like it very much. Story has taken a backseat in favour of hollywood effects and over the top action sequences. It appears the days of Cloud, Squall and the other countless truly inspired Final Fantasy characters has all but gone. Has the inspiration fallen away?

I seriously cannot wait for this title. My favourite game series, and it's bound to be fantastic.

Devil May Cry 4
Loved the first and third games. I have big hopes for the fourth installment.

I'm going to get one this August, because I'm just a huge sony fan and games like Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy XIII aren't worth missing.
