What sodomy means in the bible is having sex with the same sex, also involving sex with children. If god was really against any sex that was not to make a baby, he would of said ahem "dont have sex if it is not for having babies." If that was the case, he would of only needed one line, not multiple lines. It says it somewhere, that all is honorable in marriage. Sodomy = homosexuality, I think the reason why the word was used was so people would remember the story of how god basically destroyed a city of homosexuals.

I have read quite a bit of the bible, I just got to judges, it hardly reads like a book of myths, its not some religion to entertain, it hardly attempts to establish a popular religion, even Isreal would not obey it. Dont people realize that by the fact that Isreal exist to this day, kind of confirms that the bible is historical.

And for the guy above, you do know the bible always talked about the world following other gods right? God was always angry when Isreal followed other gods. I dont think god created it, if he had a hatred of other gods... So far it has been people making statements that really do not hold much weight. Just opinions that shows that they merely don't want the bible to be true, which is probably what this thread reveals. I have never seen someone who wanted the bible to be true, but because of evidence could not believe in god. Its usually people who dont want to believe in god, that make up religion.
