i dont get it, in the original anakin would have been about 50 if not older when he's a ghost

in the remastered its 19/20 year old anakin

why didnt they just leave it be and show anakin as an old man? if anything using hayden christianson makes less sense

Darth_Tyrev

My cousin is a hardcore SW fan, and he told me that it's there to symbolize that the real Anakin died at that age, and from then on, he was corrupt and became Vader. Or something like that; it was a while ago.

Yeah, that's what Lucas claimed. The real reason is that Lucas and team were bored and wanted to add even more effects to the movie, so they decided to replace the original actor... just because they could. Seems like that's all Star Wars is about now... adding a whole bunch of special effects and changes, then claiming them as "artistic decisions".

That's what Lucas claims, but according to the direct dialogue of the film, Luke says to his father 'It is the name of your true self, you've only forgotten. I know there is good in you, the Emperor hasn't driven it from you fully.' Anakin clearly did have said good in him to save Luke from the Emperor. When we see David Prowse as Darth Vader in the scene where he dies, he is able to make peace and become one with the Force (allowing him to appear 'ghost-like' in on the Endor moon and connect with the physical world). It makes perfect sense to leave David Prowse in the scene, rather than replace him with Hayden Christensen.

And while some of the unnecessary changes to the OT were artistic decisions, it was more for continuity. Supposedly.

There is really no question as to if you actually own something; you simply do. I think your complaint is the emphasis we, as a society (not mankind), have put on material possessions.

I would say the vast majority of people believe that life exists elsewhere, so did God make them too? And if they are advanced in some way do you think they have a view on God?

blackngold29

I don't know who you talk to, but the vast majority of people I talk to are pretty closed on that subject, either through religion, logic or science. Regardless the validity of it, it's not a popular belief.

And I think the more important question, assuming there exists extra terrestrial life, is whether they, too, have invented religion or some substitute, not whether they believe in 'God'.

[QUOTE="SempiternalFett"]Every person of this planet can, technically, visit any country. Whether or not the US deems it permissible is a different story. Law's aren't everything.zero9167

Explain.

It's simple. Assuming one is able, that person can walk, for example, from US territory into Canadian territory. It might be a little more complex elsewhere, but it is possible. One does simply walk into Mordor.

Walking into N. Korea might not be the best idea. You'd have to cross over from China as from S. Korea you're not likely to get across the DMZ alive.

I saw a show about N. Korea where they interviewed people who secretly cross from N. Korea to China and back for work to feed their families. They have to be careful as N. Korea patrols even the Chinese border fairly often and if caught you go to prison. Average lifespan in a N. Korean prison is believed to be less than two years...

By all means, it would be a stupid move. I just hate that we live in a society where we believe laws define how we live. I mean, I love democracy, but I hate little regulations like the US Copyright Law that mandate music, or art, as a product, and not as an expression. One shouldn't be limited by the rules that surround them, because they oppress them. One can walk into N. Korea (be they intelligent or not).

you'd be shot before you made it across.

you can not just walk into north korea.

That's really not the point, if you've been reading my arguments. But unless you speak from personal experience, I won't take your word.

For the end results or for the fun of debating?

going to sleep actually cyaz

It really depends on who's involved. Sometimes it's for the intellectual stimulation on the part of both parties. Sometimes it is for the end results.

Essentially the same thing. Tools - Internet Options - Content - AutoComplete (click on settings) - then deselect what you don't wish IE to autocomplete; web addresses, forms, usernames, passwords.
