I just got a PSP-3000 and I'm trying to download Xenogears on my PSP. However my internet just reset at about 50% download. Is there an active download page, or a place where I can resume from where I left off? If so, where? Also ..... I have a wireless network in my apartment, but no internet. If I download Xenogears to my PC, can I send it to my PSP through my network. Do I really have to buy a ridiculous Memory Stick Duo adapter for $15???

Well there's an explanation for why Bioshock is rated so highly. Think about it, Bioshock is one of the most strongly marketed games of this gen and Gamespot is the most reputable authority of video game reviews. Doesn't it make sense that 2K Games would profit from soliciting gamespot to give them a favorable review? I'm sure that the entirety of Gamespots revenue doesn't come from ad space alone, they were probably taking revenue from 2K games to promote Bioshock. It's called "guerilla marketing" and it's pretty common in most entertainment industries. Crowd mentality would assure that people who read Gamespots review would want to feel the same way about Bioshock.

It's about experience. With Bioshock I felt like I was having to force myself to keep playing because it was so repetitive and boring. With Singularity I can only play 20 minutes at a time because it's so intense. Sure, Bioshock tried to do something completely new, but the combat made it feel incomplete. Games 3 or 4 years older have far superior mechanics (i.e. half life 2). There's no excuse for poor gameplay, no matter how pretty the package. You have to build from the ground up, Bioshock took the top down approach. Almost felt like the FPS perspective was an afterthought.

The story, art, and atmosphere in Singularity are superior to the story, art, and atmosphere in Bioshock. Additionally, the gameplay is similar in both games, but the addition on open-air long distance shootouts in Singularity just compound its dominance.

Note: This isn't a Bioshock bash thread, I'm just using Bioshock as a comparison due to the extreme similarity between these two games. So I bought bioshock a while back and, while I understand the hype, I never saw anything amazing in this game. Rapture was a cool idea and the art style was great, however shooting mechanics were laughable and the repetitive gameplay made finishing the game a chore. Additionally, the story was so broken, that when the twist happened I honestly didn't even remember who Fontaine was. Now to my point. I just got Singularity and im about 2 hours into it. I must say, this game is everything that Bioshock should have been. The story is scarily historic, the scenery and level design outshines almost anything in it's genre, and the shooting mechanics are perfect. Guns sound and feel like they should, not like a Bioshock peashooter. This game also has audio tapes like Bioshock did, but the quality is incomparable. Some of the tapes in Singularity are downright scary. I recall one of a little girl complaining of the Radioactive food making her feel strange, all the while you're sitting in an effed up preschool with propaganda films playing and eerie noises coming from the next room. The gamespot review for this game had me not expecting much, but I must say that I am blown away. If this game keeps up the pace it could easily be one of the top 5 ( maybe even top 3. Honestly ) first person shooters of this gen. All in all, if you even remotely enjoyed Bioshock or just an FPS fan you NEED to rent this game. You absolutely will enjoy it.

So I just got a PSP and I'm an RPG fan. The games I'm looking at getting right now are FF7: Crisis Core Lunar: silver star harmony Jeanne D'Arc Xenogears (PSN) version Which should I get first? I plan to eventually play all 4 but I am dying for an epic story. I was originally just going to buy xenogears, but reviews of the other 3 made me add them to the list.
