@Strider8009 @Jecoh @SolidTy My concerns about digital are as follows:
You can't lend games to friends. You can't borrow games from friends. If you can't back up your games and you lose them and you can't connect to the internet because systems are down or because the Apocalypse is upon us, you have no physical copy to play. Of course if it was I don't think I'd wanna play anyway, but you get the idea.
Still, I'm considering some digital titles. It'd be nice to have less cases competing for storage space. Anyone know if you can backup digital games on consoles?
@nationalgord If you're itching for optional fixed camera angles, check out the mansion DLC for Resident Evil 5. You have to do a little something to get the fixed angles, but I don't remember if an initial playthrough of said DLC is required for it to work.
@advancedcaveman Individual grass increases visual immersion which then adds to the escapism. It's certainly better than green-colored textures or photoshopping pictures of grass onto polygons. I remember Star Fox Adventures on GameCube having both fur and grass!
On consoles, I find Rage to be more technically competent than Crysis 2. Up to 1280 x 720p resolution? Check. 60 fps gameplay? Check. Crysis 2 offered none of that. I'm still curious to see what they do with current gen tech for Crysis 3, though.
