[QUOTE="hiho24"]Yes it should be made illegal. Its basically like any other drug, that impairs the mind. A couple of my friends do it and you get pretty spaced out they say. Thing is though, its legal to buy and if someone takes that then they may be trying to blame their car after they saw it hit someone while they were driving it high on saliva...gasmaskman

Alcohol and cigarettes also impair the mind, but they are legal...

*sigh* Alcohol only impairs your mind if you over do it and most anything can do that....and cigarettes don't really impair the mind. These are not comparable. Sorry.

Alcohol impairs your mind with one drink....so....yeah.

Anyways, I don't think it should be illegal. Drugs like marijuana and salvia and stuff should be legal like cigarretes. But, my friends have tried it and it's MESSED UP, some of the most crazy experiences they've had were on it.

I wouldnt want weed and salvia to be legal. Imagine all the potheads and fiends that would walk the streets. THINK ABOUT THE CHILDREN GOD DAMNIT THE CHILDREN!

[QUOTE="-Unreal-"]You're not a religious man are you?Salvy41

How often is it that a non-religious person is an opponent of evolution?

It usually discredits ones faith.

there are reports from the Bible and other books that He was seen after His death.

There are much more numerous, recent, and credible sources which claim that the government is hiding UFOs somewhere in New Mexico. And hey, guess what, lots of people believe it. You can see how the power of suggestion quickly leads to the propagation of outright lies. The lies in the Bible are simply much more appealing to the average, death fearing human.

trix5817

how do you know the Bible has lies in it? has anything in the Bible been disproven? no the Bible is 100% accurate to history books.

Yup, stories about two naked blokes in a garden who completely defy evolution, one guy fitting all of the worlds animals onto one boat then redistibuting them so that kangaroos only live in australia etc, people getting swallowed by whales and surviving, dudes walking on water, and other stories are COMPLETLEY HISTORICALLY ACCURATE. Out of curiosity, why is it that God never decides to send us miracles of that scale anymore? They were so common back in the day.

If you want to learn about civilization during the period, read a history book, it's fascinating. The Bible has little to do with this.

Why should God give you the privilege of receiving a miracle are you some kind of messiah or prophet of God. If God did send a miracle to you would obviously accept that God exists right? But will God accept you into paradise because of your stubborness that fact the truth had to be blatantly shoved in your face to accept it. When there are people who believe in God with the tiniest article of faith is because of their existence. If God did send Angels to you I dont think he would be pleased to find out you didnt think he existed so I wouldnt talk about why we dont receive miracles anymore.

So, I guess blind faith is something you admire? People had blind faith in Hitler.........

Seriously, stop making it seem like Faith is the end all be all of whether you're a good person or not. It shouldn't matter in the least bit to decide that.

Define Blind Faith

Following the religion of your forefathers.

sorry, I just can't remember the last time a civilization was decimated after a series of plagues brought by God in the last centuries. I don't see what this has to do with my personal stubborness. But to answer that, if God wanted me to believe in him, why would he entrust that responsibility to generations of corrupt leaders? Why not show me himself? He is God after all... I'm sure he could manage it.

Civilizations come and go did you honestly expect every civilization in human history to survive? Who said it was the responsibility of other human beings to show you faith. Im reasoning with you for your benefit so you can achieve something spiritually and take something with you in theafterlife. Im muslim and in Islam Allah(swt) gives every human being a chance to change, also children who die are innocent so they go to heaven. So when you die and you claim that God did notshow you path or light be aware of the things that happened to you in the past. Whether you give God a chance or not this is up to you bur do not blame others for the fact that you could not believe in God.

Im sorry jlh I did agree with you many times before but the Bible is not authentic. The bible has 300 differentversions every christian sect cannot agree whats in the bible or what has beenomitted. The new testament, old testament, four gospels none of that is entirely intact because of all the different versions that have come up throughout the years. If all the bibles were thrown in the Ocean no one can get together and agree to make one legit version because of the disputes of the bible.

I still haven't found an answer to my question:

If sin and evil exists, why did God allow it to exist?

Masinai

obviously God dint make sin or evil

Then how did it get here if he made everything?

its that part of the Bible called the beginning

God made Adam and Eve, now back then the world was SO perfect that there was no sickness, no death, no sin, heck there werent even carnivorous species of animals(as strange as that sounds, but then again I'm sure there are ways that it is scientifically possible)

Adam and Eve dint even know how to sin, so God only gave them one command, dont eat from this tree. The simplest thing right? but then Satan(or the serpent) came along and tempted Eve into eating the fruit from the tree. Then Adam joined in.

Now they have disobeyed God, sin enters the world, this is immediately noticeable because right away Adam and Eve try to hide.

Now God has to start setting up some new rules. Because his perfect creation(and the only ones he loved enough to have free will) deliberately defied him. All these other sins and evil that you hear about are the result of this act of defiance, in fact the first murder in history was between their own children

Actually, they found a snake, supposed to be an old god. And, I mean, what the hell? in the bible, it says if you eat a fig you'll go to hell. What idiot came up with that? We can't tell, and I mean, Adam and Eve existed a LONG time ago, how could a story hold up for that long? They were the only first humans on Earth, did God tell his human friends what happened? I'm sorry to tell this to the religious people of Gamespot, but this is an opinion. I think this stuff is a bunch of bull crap.

I would like to give the islamic view of this.

Before adam and eve there was extradimensional beings on earth called jinn. (Look it up on the net)Yes they possessed the power of freewill but they were extremely violent and mischievous. So insight of this Allah(swt) decided to create Adam and place him on Earth. An angel asked Allah 'O Lord of the worlds, will you create michievous ones like those of the Jinn?' Allah replied 'Your Lord knows best'.

Once adam was created the angels and iblis(lucifer he was a jinn in islamic text not an angel) was commanded to prostrate to him. However Iblis refused so and claimed that he is made of fire and adam is made of clay so he must be superior. So Allah cursed Iblis. Iblis vowed to take as many humans to the hellfire as he can by leading them away from Allah except for the slaves of Allah. So Allah granted respite to him till the day of resurrection. This is islamic explanation of time before Adam and Eve and Shaytaan (The rejected, accursed one).

Blood-Scribe

Well the creation of sin and evil, the intent was to get thegood which comes from it. If God knew before that Satan would persuade Adam to eat from the tree why did he create Satan in the first place? Because the evil that would come from him would produce a great good. Now we see God fearing individuals who do good even when no one is present to see or witness. Also it would lead to repentenance where a sin is committed yet they return to their lord to ask for mercy. This is because of the sins they have committed. Because of Satans arrogance it has lead to powerful individuals spiritually.
