Glitches are part of the game mechanics of Bethesda titles. Everybody knows that.

oh c'mon man! don't just settle like that bro.. thats why game companies get away with sh!t like this in the first place, cause most consumers like you just suck it up as a loss, which is understandable as there's not much we can do, but hell.. atleast complain! and trust me, oblivion had its share of glitches but NOTHING this bad..
will NEVER buy glitch scrolls 4 skyrim. :evil: game designers these days are starting to act like they enjoy purposely pissing us off.. its all about money, long as we pay up they could care less how broken the game is upon release..

Sucks to be anyone who bought Skyrim on the PS3. Sure the content and gameplay might be great, but what does it matter if the game is a technical disaster? That's what Skyrim is.
Worst part is I don't even know if this is patchable.
this... my point exactely. it doesn't matter how cool or fun some sequences are or look if the game in its entirety is broken beyond beleaf..

i've got a 320gb ps3 slim and a bad internet connection. Often times, when playing online, my ps3 freezes whenever the internet gets disconnected. I usually wait for about 15 minutes or so but about 80% of the time, the game doesn't unfreeze so I have to turn it off with the power button, then I turn it on again after about another 15 minutes. One time, when I turned it back on, there was a message that said "The PS3 system was not turned off properly." Since my connection is so crappy, there are days when the ps3 gets disconnected several times in a row, forcing me to turn off my ps3 with the power button and turning back on over and over again, and I'm thinking, this can't be good for the system. Is it really that bad if Ithis keeps on happening? Should I just stop playing online until my connection gets better? Is there a safer way to turn off the ps3? The only other choice seems to be just disconnecting the power cord. By the way, the game that caused me to post this thread was DC Universe Online. So, if you suggest ejecting the disc when it freezes, that wouldn't help me because i downloaded DCUO off of PSN.

i don't play games online so can't help ya there, only time i ever hook my ps3 to the internet is long enough to buy DLC then i immediately disconnect.. i have had a few friends tell me not to EVER cut it off via power button in the back cause it can wear out the button but thats about it, oh and u will ALWAYS get the *not turned off properly* message if u do this as well, which is why i don't do it... its annoying, don't think it can harm you're system tho.. :P

if it works fine i'd say trade it in for a 360 if u ain't got one already, if u do own a 360 trade it in for a bunch of games, i'd atleast wait a week or so to make sure the old one keeps working before ya decide tho.. ;)
wow.. thanks for sharing this information as u set in stone my decision NOT to buy this game as i was considering, yea i heard oblivion was guilty of the same kinda glitch bs... come to think of it, this is becoming a real problem with these elder scroll games, they really need to look into fixing these problems..
i posted something simular last week but didn't really touch on the whole subject as i hadn't actually tried it yet, you DON'T need a usb device for this trick! on batman ac if you're one of those who got all pissed cause new game plus only allowed one playthrough, this is what you do.. first- ya beat a regular game and quite right after unlocking new game plus. second- u create a seperate account on you're ps3. third- u copy the save off you're main account onto the one u created. now whenever you wanna go through new game plus again all u have to do is delete the existing one off you're main account, log into the seperate one and re-copy it back to you're main account an there ya go.. simple solution, i'm just wondering how the hell nobody else thought of this.. lol
