I found Alma from Ninja Gaiden to be a 'bit' frustrating. God was I happy when I beat her.

I guess the fashion of the 70s just wouldn't be right to wear today? Yes, it does bring back lots of good memories but I don't think I would do the same things today.

The point is that yes, these games are and still great and fun to play. And don't make the assumption that I haven't played them without any evidence. Just because I think that I would prefer to play some new games doesn't mean that I don't enjoy some classics like the games above. And not everyone has the same gaming tastes as you. I have yet to see a game that everyone likes. And I doubt we will.

So you would be happy to play these games alone until you die? Not saying that the Wii doesn't have a good library, but by your logic, if Nintendo releases a game console that has these games, it wins by default? The games are still awesome, yes, but I do want some new games, and I think everyone else here likes playing new games.

I can attest to the TC's claim of over 100 enemies on screen. I believe the exact number in one location was 144. I think it was pulled from the new EGM that will have the Halo 3 blowout. I can't remember exactlky either, so ridicule me all you want, I just thought I would say that I read this on these forums not too long ago as well.TheCrazed420

I don't remember that. I'll give it a quick read later to check.

The man says there will be more enemies/allies in a single encounter in Halo 3, second mission, than the first mission of Halo put together. The first level of Halo, The Pillar of Autumn, my second-fav mission of the game by the way, has around 150 enemies/allies all together. But I'm going to put the claim down to exaggeration, and say in that particular encounter he was mentioning, I'm guessing around 60. Or 69. You choose. :P

Like I said before, I think the encounter mentioned at the end of the second level is going to be about 60. But there will be bigger battles, as he mentioned, so I'm hoping 100.

So can Bungie live up to this claim?

My opinion: Maybe. Bungie has a pretty talented development team but getting that amount of enemies is going to be a challenge. I would give it a 50/50 chance.

It's because they were remved, Bungie has to be the most tight-ass developer. I'll type it out:

"There's an encounter at the end of the second mission that you play that has more enemies and allies in it than the entire first mission of Halo," Griessmer? (text is blurry) boasts. "And that's not even the largest encounted in the game."

Note the word 'boasts'. I hope Bungie can live up to this claim.

But you are correct in claiming that 100+ enemies/vehicles will be on screen. I'm just waiting if we will actually be able to fire and engage them in battle. (I think KH or KHII had something like a thousand Heartless on screen btw)

So now we're discussing each other's personal lives? Can we refrain from making any thread/post personal?

And the problem with providing a link is that most have been removed at the request from Bungie, who are very harsh on leaks and soforth. Here's one download link thats been removed:

http://halo3forum.com/halo-3-general-discussion/148929-new-egm-stuff.html

However, some people, such as I, have been able to download the file before it was removed. And I can say that it was on the 57th page of the issue, underneath the section, 'The Difference Engine', on the third column.

The claim comes from a particular magazine. I quote, "There's an encounter at the end of the second mission that you play that has more enemies and allies in it than the entire first mission of Halo." "And that's not the biggest encounter in the game."

There's about 100 enemies and allies in the first level, give or take. But he may have been exaggerating, so I expect about 60 enemies. However, he says that this is not the biggest encounted of the game. So Halo 3 may reach that 100 mark. 50/50 chance of it happening if you ask me.
