I love seeing a game release followed by DLC on the game release date that costs money. They can kiss my ass.

LikeHaterade

This. Thank you. The only thing that pisses me off more than them selling it is people buying it. I'll admit I suckered myself into buying alt costumes for SFIV, but I feel stupid as hell for it. If I could make one gaming-related wish and have it come true, it would be that people stop buying this so-called "extra" content.

EDIT: I told a lie. I'd actually wish for a rad theatre-style gaming setup, designed especially for fighting games. There would be a screen for each player, plus a high-definition big screen for onlookers to watch while sitting in the most comfortable recliners (complete with drink holders) in the known universe.

^Phantom_Leo, that still doesn't say much. But I guess all good things comes to those who are patient.

That said, it just makes me wonder why they couldn't put all of this on the game before? I can understand where people are coming from now, especially with the DLC on the costumes. Why couldn't that be included in the game in the first place and not have to wait until more shows up? I truly hope that Capcom learns from their mistake and include as much as they can or pretty much everything on this next revision. Otherwise, if that doesn't happen, we'll get screwed and we'll have to pay to get all of it again. Not that I don't mind paying, because I'm there to support Capcom, but still. Put everything or as much as you can on it before releasing it. That way, it won't be such a hassle for the rest of us!

Metamania

No. They made money by ripping us off. What "lesson" do you want them to learn? If anything, there will be even more DLC, not less.

Not excited.

For one, this whole "we may say something later, so stay tuned!" schtick is so god damned patronizing it makes me want to boycott Capcom forever. That T. Hawk just happens to be semi-visible on the screen there, to me, is no accident. It's an obvious ploy to build hype, and it pisses me off that Capcom is treating us like a bunch of ****ing puppies, trying to make us yap and wag our little tails.

For another, T. Hawk and Dee Jay were already confirmed as having almost made it into SFIV. Seeing them now, and not other characters such as Makoto or Dudley, just says that they finally got around to finishing the characters they'd originally planned to release anway. Big deal.

On top of that, you guys have probably hit the nail on the head - or are at least close. Capcom is probably not going to be even moderately generous with these characters. If they can be sold as DLC, or if Capcom can otherwise use DLC to fleece us, then they will.

But, even supposing T. Hawk and Dee Jay are available in SSFIV along with the rest of the new characters at no extra cost, I'm still not thrilled. Capcom had decades of Street Fighter know-how to draw on in creating SFIV, yet it still came out with a laundry list of screw-ups. Guile's Flash Kick often fails to hit airborne opponents. Honda's EX headbutt doesn't absorb fireballs, but Blanka's roll gets through them completely untouched. Fei Long's Ultra isn't guaranteed even if the first hit connects clean. Gief's PPP lariat beats sweeps. Sagat has boosted HP and stun... I supposed to "offset" his godlike offense. The list could go on. These are not the kinds of oversights that should require years, months, weeks, or even days of playtesting to fish out. These things are immediately obvious, so, to put it bluntly, I fully expect Capcom to screw the pooch on SSFIV. I hope I am proven wrong in the end (it's the only reason I keep playing IV), but I don't think I will be.

So is this mother going to cost money? It's going to cost money isn't it...

LikeHaterade

Come on, bro... they charged us for virtual character clothing. Worse yet, a lot of us bought the stupid ****. Of course it's gonna cost us.

Ugh got peaced out in the tournament last night. My very first 0-2 in SFIV. This is what I get for not sticking with a dedicated main. Back to the drawing board.

Kreatzion

Just play Sagat and get it overwith, bro. Arguably the best arsenal in the game, plus boosted stats. Just do it.

Need some help on the doing a particular move. Ryu Tatsumaki Senpuu-Kyaku across screen. I can do it if I jump straight up, but cant seem to go across the screen with it.

Do I: jump right(or left) then hurricane kick
or
Do I: jump straight up then hurricane kick hitting right(or left)

I have done it once I think...but it was when I was just mashing buttons when I first started.

DarkCatalyst

Throw it out during a forward jump. How you input the move doesn't matter because it relies on how you're jumping, not anything you do as/after the input is made.

You can kind of think of it as being a semi-circular motion. First, press up/forward. From there, just roll the stick around from forward to back in one smooth motion, hitting your kick button once you are pushing back.

Here's one of my tournament matches. So many missed punishes... the nerves are partly to blame, but I had a lot of bad habits as well.

Note that when you watch that vid, I linked to the "full" version of the match. That's actually not quite true yet, as Delo hasn't put up the second part just yet. It'll be available in a couple hours, though.

Dude, you're such a troll. I'm gonna death-touch you with Gen next time we fight, lol.

SLB, speaking of Gen, I just saw a really entertaining fight between a good Gen against a good Sagat. Maybe this might help you with your Gen?

http://westcoastwarzonevideos.com/west-coast-warzone-street-fighter-4-videos/sf4-top-8-yeb-gen-vs-floe-sagat/

Dude, I already knew the fight before you posted it. It's Yeb vs. Floe, and it's already faved on my YT account, lol. Good call, though. That is a kickass match. I'm still learning the mk to hands, but I don't think I'll wind up emulating Yeb in the long run. I play a different styIe overall. Then again, I'm not playing opponents at his level, so my tricks simply might not work at some point.

Watch out cause my Guile is actually getting up there. I think I'm going to roll with Guile in this Friday's tournament that I'm heading to.

Dude your Guile was a serious problem last time we fought. Change everyone's perspective on him, bruh. Good luck at your tournament.

Don't think you're not getting death-touched, though.
