@JohnnyGT1 @kidnatural @Shika_Stoner @cronos809 The PC version of BFME2 can supposedly still be played online as long as you use alternative online services like gameranger or hamachi but I wouldn't know because I've never tried.

Yes it has all those modes and yes the campaign is very good. It has 2 fully featured campaigns. One good and one "what if? style evil campaign. But it follows the war in the north, not the battles that were shown in the movies. Those took place in the first game. So if your only experience with LOTR is with the movies then you might not recognize some of the people/places.

Of course the iconic movie battles like Helms Deep and Minas Tirith are still featured as maps for skirmish and multiplayer.

6 factions. 3 good. 3 evil.

Good.

1. Gondor/Rohan.

2. Elves of Rivendell/Mirkwood.

3. Dwarves of Erebor/Men of Dale.

Evil.

1. Mordor Orcs/Evil men.

2. Misty Mountain/Moria Goblins.

3. Uruk Hai of Isengard.

@JohnnyGT1 @cronos809 Halowars was good but it was a little too simple for my tastes. So far the best RTS that I've ever played on Xbox was C&C 3: Kane's Wrath. Nine playable factions, comparable controls to Halo Wars but it kept the full base building and tech trees of normal RTS games. It makes Red Alert 3 look like a pile of crap.

Battle for Middle Earth 2 was another really good one as well.

@bmart970 Should have just kept calling it firefight. The changes to the mode are awesome but the new name is not.

@Xman4787 Wargames isn't a gametype. It's the new name of competitive multiplayer mode. They call it wargames instead of just matchmaking like it was before. All of the gametypes and playlists are in wargames.

@ilantis He does it all in between missions or whenever he gets the chance. It may not have looked like it but the events of Halo CE actually took place over a week or so with Chief going back to the base camp that the survivors of the ship crash established. This is where all the dropships and extra marines that you see during the game missions come from.

Anyways, it's not unheard of of troops on the frontlines to go days without eating or sleeping and weeks without bathing in real life. That's way the training for SEALS, Recon Marines and Green Berets is so tough. A huge part of it is survival training.

@cejay0813 Yes the human weapons use the sounds of real guns mixed together.

@mrtrolololo Ugghhh Halo 3 snobs. You just can't reason with them. If it doesn't promise to be an exact copy of Halo 3 they hate it. Luckily the series started as Halo: Combat EVOLVED and not Halo: Combat Stagnation. And Stagnation is what we would get if they had their way. Maybe they should find a game series that caters to people that like to buy the same game over and over again? I believe it goes by the name "Call of something or other"? It's all the rage with kids these days... :3

@splinter10 Power weapons and other random ones are still on the maps. One of the first things he says about load-outs in this video is that they won't include weapons like the rocket launcher, energy sword and gravity hammer.

The load-outs lets you choose you're two starting weapons and grenades. Primary weapons are like the assault and battle rifles. Secondaries are sidearms, which are pistols.

Human primary weapons: Assault rifle, battle rifle, DMR, SAW, Shotgun.

Human secondary weapon: Magnum.

Covenant primary weapons: Storm rifle, carbine.

Covenant secondary weapons: Plasma pistol.

Forerunner primary weapons: Suppressor, light rifle, scattershot.

Forerunner secondary weapons: Boltshot.

Grenades: Frag, plasma, pulse.

Anything not on that list will still appear on the maps or can be brought in via ordinance drop, or both. In fact all of the weapons even the load-out ones will probably still be on the maps to give the playersthe ability to change or resupply on the fly.

Anyone that wants a realistic warfare experience should just wait a little while. With the way things are going with Iran they could get their wish when the government brings back the draft.
