@cyloninside @butternut86 Every shooter has you shooting, the different is what's you're shooting, how you're shooting, where you go to shoot, why you're shooting. Destiny seems to be lacking all these latter points.

In Destiny you just go and shoot. Hard enemy? You just shoot it more, rather than differently.

Halo is an appropriate comparison to make. Every enemy had unique weaknesses and behavior, they didn't just sponge up more bullets to be harder.

I'm not sure where Bungie lost it, they've made great games with great gameplay and great stories, but Destiny just seems to be a smooth presentation with nothing in it.

@MAGIC-KINECT I'd still buy it on PC, because it'd at least look better and run smoother. But yeah, overhyped game that turned out average.

@pignugget Biggest game release in quite some time, many people excited for its release, and you're saying GS should not cover it to milk all the viewership? Is there something else they need to be covering right now?

@guydude3412 A lot of people make their own, but there are also a lot of people making them to order, especially helmets.

@death4us2 What most consumers can reasonably buy is not the limit. Much more powerful rigs can be made to run this stuff already, and you can simply observe such features at lower than desirable frame rates. Their head is just fine, maybe you just lack the right mindset.

@jeremyc99999 @ShimmeringSword @maartencruze Kickstarter promises nothing, KS only requires the people running the campaign to promise they will deliver. Similar terms, but it means KS has zero responsibility here.

As I said the backers can still organize to seek compensation, but it's complicated and KS doesn't assist in the process. Essentially a single backer would have to take initiative with legal action, then encourage others to join. This pretty much never happens.

And I'll repeat, this is a case of incompetence, not an outright scam, though bad use of money still persists. Scams do happen on KS though. Defiance Games raised $46,500 to make hardsuit miniatures, then spent that money on another game line while leaving the backers in the dust.

@Random_Matt You think all the amazing projects that get funded and completed successfully should never exist just because a few fail to deliver? This is exactly how investing works, nothing is out of the ordinary here.

If you're afraid of losing on your investment, just stick tor regular purchases.

@maartencruze I don't think you understand what a scam is. This isn't a scam, it's incompetence. Backers could still take them to court over that incompetence, but they most likely wont. Kickstarter is an investment scheme, and investments aren't guaranteed to work out.

@Metallicwolf29 @ShimmeringSword Yet he quit a job because it's furthering a direction of technology that has been predicted for many years. It's not like he suddenly realized that VR is bad, we've known it was going this way forever.
