We actually found out that the newer models are just incredibly terrible at picking up sound and that you basically have to shout in order for them to register. Not so helpful late at night. =/

*Shrug* I only have one friend on Live that I regularly play with other than the handful of people I know in person.

I actually don't think I've ever heard a girl's voice over XBL. I'm sure I've been in Halo matches or whatever with girls, but even in Reach where you can aesthetically change your gender I can never be sure. I've seen several male players say that they play as female spartans, which doesn't really make any sense to me. Anyway, my point is that I can't argue how women do or do not act when playing games, but I haven't come across anyone who is talking trash in a long time since if I'm not in a party when I'm playing, then I don't have my mic plugged in because I don't want people to hear me cursing when I die.

It was definitely an improvement in all aspects: it looked better, it played better, it was more responsive. Though the demo didn't give a whole lot of time to really get a feel for how everything works, I think the jumping mechanics have been tweaked so that the game doesn't randomly decide you never pushed A and you're going to fall to your death. It was also nice that Starkiller puts his lightsabers away when you've been out of combat for a while, instead of just whenever you idle, though I did have problems with RB not fully unsheathing them again, even in battle. He would get in a defensive stance, but when I let go they would recede again. Obviously this is fixed by simply attacking. :P Another thing I noticed is that the dash has been shortened, but Starkiller's leaping distance is automatically lengthened during the platforming sequences where you need to jump a gap. I noticed that the dash significantly increased when going over the destroyed sections of bridges.

However, I did have some complaints. I'm a little disappointed that QTEs are still a part of the game, as I really didn't like seeing the same generic animations every time I killed a large enemy in the first game. One thing that really bothered me, as well, is Starkiller's running animation, which seems a little bit awkward. So while everything looks better on the surface, I'm concerned that the animations are still too clunky.

Microsoft's tech support is the worst thing I've ever seen in my life. My friends have a very bizarre problem with their headsets and Microsoft responded by sending me their FAQ. I sent a message back saying that it doesn't help me and all I got back was "Thank you for contacting Microsoft! Please visit xbox.com." Seriously. So does anyone have any experience troubleshooting headsets?

[QUOTE="-eddy-"]make sure your folders are in the right place. WMC might be able to show 'lost' pics because they are local media to it.-eddy-

What do you mean make sure they're in the right place? The console doesn't register any files at all, it's not like I can specify a destination for it. Besides, the standard "pictures" folder shouldn't be too difficult to find.

Yeah, I mean that's where it reads the photos, in the Picture folder. So I was just that if you have those pictures somewhere else than there, it might not be able to find them.

The weirdest part is that the console couldn't even see pictures I had on my flash drive. As an experiment I tried changing the file type from Bitmap to JPEG and it was suddenly able to see it. This is very odd considering it never had problems seeing Bitmap files before, and the images in my Pictures folder are of various file types, including JPEGs.

Well, it's basically a brand new console, so all the settings are already pretty much at their default, aside from connectivity.
