I like RPG's and fast action games, FPS games too. My sister is getting a Wii but doesn't live at home so I cannot use it.

Well I don't know how much you're willing to spend. I picked up a Gefoce 8500 512mb DDR2 card for just around $100 on sale. Runs source on every thing on max, 16x atmo, max AA and all high settings. Love the card, if only my CPU was as good.

My parents are allowing me to pick out a game system or whatever, but I don't know which system I should get for my birthday. I have a very good computer and a ton of games, a nintendo ds with some good games and a playstation 2 with a lot of games I haven't even played yet (Don't know why). My sister is getting a Wii, but I'm not sure if I should get a Wii or an Xbox 360, maybe a PS3?

Umm no, don't waste a dime of Half Life 2 yet. Onboard video cards are really bad for high graphic games. You should buy Counter Strike, remember if you buy any of the Half Life 1 games, Blue shift, ect... you get access to all the Half Life 1 games, CS, BS, HL1, TFC ect...

My friend couldn't even play Half Life 2 on his computer he bought 2 years ago without buying the GeForce 5500 (Not a great card but he only had PCI) and even then it's not great.

Buy Counter Strike and get into that game, a lot of people play it still and I believe even more play Counter Strike then Counter-Strike Source. You can also check out some free FPS's, Wolfenstein Enemy Territory. I would even Suggest Quake 3, but you might get killed even more in that game then Counter Strike. Another great way is to find some Single player FPS to get use to everything.

I would install new graphic drivers and reinstall the game. From what I know GOTY is patched to the latest patch when I tried. I bet it's a graphics card issue.

Do yourself a favour. Save your money until WAR comes out, then buy a laptop or whatever. If it works fine then keep the computer, if not just return it and save up some more money for a better computer. If you're going to buy a computer, spend the extra money for a good one. Technology in games is always improving and it would suck to see a new computer that cannot run next years games.

Gran Turismo 4...after all this time I still can't put that game down.Paul_06

I've had GT4 since Christmas, couldn't stand how hard it was for a new player to the series to drive.

Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory (On the bank level).

Opps, in my first post I meant Gears of War not GRAWL.  Right now XBOX 360 is winning me over because of XBOX LIVE and I'm waiting on Halo 3.  I just wasn't sure because I bought consoles in the past which I invested a lot of money and never played them after a few months.

I'm really into RPG games and Shooters, right now I'm playing Metal Gear Substances on my PS 2 and Rouge Galaxy.  I'm not sure if XBOX 360 and Wii have games like this.  My current budget right now is $1000 to spend on a console and games.  Does anyone know if XBOX 360 can play XBOX games?  I've seen XBOX games going around for almost nothing since XBOX 360 has been out for a year.
