[QUOTE="SillyManimal"]They said that "The gameplay looks like your standard FPS fare", well the difference betweenFPS andTPS is basically just the view. So, they lose credibility because of that little mistake?PBSnipes

Thats not a mistake though, thats like knocking Halo 3 for not having the depth and story of a top notch RPG. Even the bestRPG's generally have downright weak and boring combat, based around the player selecting an option, and then using stat-based probability to determine the effect of that option. Most RPGs in essenceplay like a game of pad-and-paper D&D. As Peter Molyneux so eleoquently said about combat in RPGs "Its ****". Sosaying Mass Effecthas "standard FPS fare" is actually a back handed complement, because had the writer actually known Mass Effect is a RPG he would have known how big a step forward the combat in Mass Effect is for the genre.

The point isthe writer wrote this preview apparently expecting Halo or CoD, meaning he clearly knows nothing about the game. He also based his preview

But, looking at the paragraph, you can tell that he was talking about that combat andapart from the view, FPS and TPS aren't that different.

heres another bad preview

i knew IT WASNT just me

PBSnipes

You mean the preview that calls Mass Effect an FPS? I wouldn't wanna get too close to that thing if I were you.

Oh no they called it a FPS, so the the comment about character animations can't be true.

Just look at the video from Pax.

Well I think calling an RPG that takes place in the third person a first person shooter kind of kills any shred of credibility the author had.

They said that "The gameplay looks like your standard FPS fare", well the difference betweenFPS andTPS is basically just the view. So, they lose credibility because of that little mistake? What if thye said TPS instead of FPS?

I actually heard Brain Age can rasie your overall IQ as high as 10 points. If I see Brain Age on the DS discounted I'd buy it. Most people would say "oh I hate using my brain to play games" though. DA_B0MB

I wonder how they play games.

I would have bought this, honestly.

If just to fund their development. Polyphony is too damn nice. 180 days for one car....1080p 60FPS....

GTHD scrapped, no money, nothing. But they give us a giant, free demo. Now they give us a mega-demo for GT5 for free with online....

Anyway, I think I'm gonna have to buy GT5 just out of gratitude.

azad_champ

hell ya i still dont understand why they give it away for free..... confused

but hey its nice

It's called generousity. Something MS and Ninty lacks.

It isn't generosity. That does not exist in business. It HAS to be helping their bottom line in some way.

It will probably have microtransactions but nobody is forcing me to buy it.

Why would theysell stuff fora demo?

[QUOTE="Redmoonxl2"]You're asking who would win between three inanimate corporations in a deathmatch? Are people this bored in system wars?Redmoonxl2

Actually, a corporation is considered to be a person here ine the US, what you meant is objects.

No, I meant corporation. The name is just a name, incapable of doing a thing. The people behind the name does all the work thus is the reason why I made my statement.

Unless Nintendo as an entity actually materializes into the Staypuff Marshmallow Man while attacking the Sony building in the name of Zul, I'm sticking with my initial comment.

I was just trying to be funny... yes, we are that bored.
