I was surprised to see this for $25 on my PS store. I haven't seen the 3DS version for anything less than $40 since its release. Nintendo is completely whack with its game pricing. I'll gladly pick up this superior version for cheaper on console.

I'm torn, here. I haven't been blown away by the AC franchise; the games always look better before I get my hands on them, and I haven't even bothered with AC3 yet. But my thirst for a great new pirate sim makes me want to take the plunge.

As someone who's been playing for years, I find Rocksmith a little strange as a tool for learning songs, but also possibly the most fun. If they had incorporated an alternate mode that displays tablature like Guitar Pro, then Rocksmith would be practically perfect.

I'd say this game is a great way to make learning guitar really fun for a beginner, and a great tool for practice for someone more experienced. Even if you feel the note highway isn't the ideal way to learn a song from the ground up, you'll still have session mode for jamming, and chord charts and fun exercises to improve your knowledge and technique.

I've never heard of this, but I'm getting some serious Portal vibes judging from the review and screenshots. Surely these developers must have made this game sitting on companion cube cushions, while drinking coffee from their Valve mugs.

@faerieflower Oh, it's not what we're becoming, it's what we've always been. The internet has just given everyone a platform with enough annonymity to spread their hatred, ignorance, and closed-minded opinions to more people than what's ever been possible before.

@fxzero @TheyLeftTheirCA But GTA is built around caricatures and stereotypes, and the focus isn't strictly on women, it's on the American culture and it's outlook on society as a whole. Almost every facet of the game is laced with tongue in cheek critiques and jokes about the people, locations, and lifestyles that inhabit its world.

@vegasdan30 Some games are almost timeless and don't need to be reinvented to stay relevant. A few tweaks and a fresh coat of paint is enough. Others are perfect and don't ever have to change. (see: tetris, chess, etc.)

@hystavito True that. If they're going to get all serious on this show, then they should be dealing with the serious concerns about the review. The troll and bigot comments aren't worth the time if you're going to take them personally.
