[QUOTE="mismajor99"]Wow, Blizzard released revenues today of 1.2 Billion, not to shabby for a software company. The vast majority of that isn't even counted in the official PC NPD numbers...

15 x 12 x 6,500,000 = 1,170,000,000 Just WoW
I say 6.5m because that's probably about the amount of people that are paying every month. I know i myslef take 2-4 month hiatuses every once in a while. It's actually a lot less becuase you also have to account for all the BC sales

That wasn't even a big deal to me. The game was just lame to me. I didn't like the weapons or the story.
Do you dictate what music you listen to by its lyricism or by what you hear on the radio and MTV?
Lyricism I don't even listen to most music on the radio but what does that have to do with my topic?
Because if you can't appreciate the meaning behind the lyrics of songwriters like Bob Dylan, even if you don't like the music, then you certainly can't appreciate the story of Half Life
Quoted for truth.[QUOTE="Sir_BIGnuts"]Where is the love for CoD:UO? Sure I think that HL>HL2>Deus Ex>CoD:UO, but still everyone mentioned CoD4 when the original and the expansion are miles aheadskrat_01
COD1 has some of the best intense linear FPS gameplay to this day, and UO has the best COD multiplayer easily.
Thank you, it's like everyone went into hibernation in 2003 and then woke up and saw pretty new CoD4 and was amazed.
[QUOTE="Sir_BIGnuts"][QUOTE="-Renegade"][QUOTE="rocktimusprime"]I will add this, name me on gameplay mechanic that RFOM did that revolutionized the FPS genre.
And then compare that to what HL1 and HL2 did to revolutionize FPS's. Half-Life gets most of it's credit for doing many new and exciting things, while RFOM is just a good basic shooter.

I guess I MUST of had to play Half Life 2 first because after playing Resistance I thought Half Life was just so stone aged. I seriously just couldn't believe it the game is only 3 years old I exspected more from "one of the greatest fps ever."
Graphics whore

[QUOTE="Sir_BIGnuts"]Resistance is a fairly mundane FPS whereas HL2 is one of the best games of all time IMO so... If you enjoy story based games that force you to reflect on what you just played, HL is for you. If not, enjoy Resistance and Halo

The story in Resistance is SO MUCH better. I actually knew why I was fighting the Kimera from the start. Plus I didn't have to play through empty levels or boring riding missions. What kills me about this game is how it drags thoughout. Oh god I couldn't wait for it to end.
:o
[QUOTE="jg4xchamp"]OH WOW.
I swear to god hermits. YOU WOULD BURN A HALO FAN alive if they said Halo was better.
Seriousaly Resistance. How?
Story Half Life 2
Gameplay Half Life 2.
Presentation Half Life 2.
Also the PC version way better than what was on PS3.
Level design. characters. Resistance didnt deserve AAA from all the places it got those scores from in the first place. It deserved 8.6. IT was good but not special.-Renegade
I seriously doubt the PC version is much different from what I played on PS3. For the first half of the game I couldn't even figure out why I was playing it. I almost put the game down and dropped it on ebay a few times playing through. Seriously this game is nothing special.
I suppose you didn't think that the opening sequence was anything special
