Away for a while

HEY ALL!!!!! I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas, and a safe and fun New Years!!

I spent Christmas with my family (always fun :D [seriously] ) and New Years was at my friend's house - pool party, but I don't like water :P. New Years Day was at my Cousin's house - ahh, so much fun with the Wii...I really want one!!

I've got 2 new games!! YAY!!!! The first is Okami for the PS2. It's awesome - so pretty!! You're basically a god sealed into the body of a wolf. You use your tail to paint things in the world and they happen!!! You draw a sun in the sky and it becomes day, paint over something broken and it fixes it, draw a straight line and it cuts stuff in half!! Its really fun and looks amazing - just like a Japanese painting!
The second game I just got last night - Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force 3. Not much to say so far, but you now find cards lying on the ground, which is cool.

OK, now time to get serious - I wont be around for about 2 and a bit weeks... :(
I'm doing a fast and I've decided to give up posting on forums...*Sigh* it starts today (I had to write this to let you all know, and technically this is a blog :D) and ends on the 20-something.
So to everyone, take care, play nice and keep an eye on Bleach!!!

See you all later!!!

Skip (Tim)

Yay!! Level up!!

WOO!! I just leveled up!!! Now I'm level 26 - Cyber-Lip! YAY!!!!!!

^^Leveling up is fun :D

OK, well Bleach Volume 25 finally got released here about a week and a bit ago (YAY!!) and it's a cool volume - just a shame about Viz's "Visoreds" name - I'm SO used to "Vizard". Oh, well!
The 3rd Dragon Ball Z VIZBIG Volume also came out - it's awesome. It has Volumes 7 - 9. It covers everything from Kuririn getting his "power up" from the Great Elder of Namek upto a revived Piccolo blasting Frieza in his Second form. Can't wait for the next one!!!

Hee Hee, I've been lazy :D

Wow, it's been just over 2 months since my last entry - HOW LAZY AM I?!?!?

Well, needless to say, tons of stuff has happened!

I've now finished Uni (WOO!!!), but I'm still waiting for my results - Clasical Piano, anyone?

My Manga collection has grown considerably - I now have Naruto 1-27, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist 1-24 and the second VIZBIG volume of Dragon Ball Z. I also found the Bleach: All Colour But The Black art book - its really cool!!
Bleach V 25 should be coming out (here) soon, as well as the second Volume of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, oh and the December Shonen Jump :D

OK, Anime-wise, I now have Dragon Ball Z Seasons 1, 3, 4 and 5 (that's everything up to the Super Trunks vs Cell fight [but I'm missing the "Namek" season]).
I also have Naruto, but only episodes 1-100 - I've been too lazy to get more - I have the manga :D
And even though it wasn't for me, I brought Elfen Lied for my best friend - its a cool Box Set - for his birthday :)

OK, now, GAMES!!

Let's start with the PSP...nothing new....except BLEACH: SOUL CARNIVAL!!!!
This is trully one of the most fun games I have ever played. I can't even begin to describe how cool it is!!
The final stage of Challenge mode is one of the most hardest levels I have ever played in any game - its awesome!!! If you can, I really recommend this game!!

OK, PS2, Not sure if I said this last time, but I got my hands on Naruto Ultimate Ninja 3. Its a pretty fun fighter, the controlls are easy to pick up so anyone can play. Walking around the (understandable small) Konoha Villiage is nice too. The minigames are ... fun at first, but can become repetative and irksome.
Overall, it was pretty fun...but before I could finish it something else caught my attention:

Dragon Ball Z: Infinite World.
Hmm... very mixed opinions with this game, but first impression: re-hash of Budokai 3. Now that's not really a bad thing...is it?
Well the fighting system has been upgraded to include some manoeuvres from Burst Limit (PS3) and Shin Budokai (PSP). The story mode has been drastically changed to include various mini games and missions where you actually get to walk around. These walking missions (usually controlling Goku, but not all the time) are ... well, they're a little bit of a double-edged sword. They're fun and new, and the graphics look great, but the controls can leave a bit to be desired. You can only jump, double jump and dash. No flying. The jumps that these characters execute are very fast and sometimes hard to control. But once you get used to it, it becomes manageable... sort of. The mini games range from you controlling Frieza and trying to shoot down Piccolo, training with Goku, Vegeta, Trunks and Gohan (button input), Krillen running from Vegeta (flying through rings), Cell running away from Piccolo and so on. These are fun, but once completed that's it.

There are also awesome cut scenes that accompany some fights. They look fantastic and look as though they come straight from Burst Limit.
But once the Story mode is fully competed...that's about it. Unless you count Fighters Road - it's just 100+ fights. You do need to complete it to obtain 100% of the capsules, though. Ah, yes, the capsule system is back, but it has been upgraded so that it's much easier to use - transformations are just 1 capsule ALL the time, they only ever take up 1 slot. Capsules are also upgradeable......with money, not experience. That being said, though, money is fairly easy to obtain with the "We Gotta Power" capsules.

All of the menu screens have absolutely NO voice overs. It's a silent game now. This is an annoying step backwards. The only talking you'll hear is in cut scenes and the actual fights. Thankfully Japanese voices are still available.

The game also has a very odd difficulty system. It ranges from Very Easy to Z (Very Hard and Z must be purchased) yet when fighting on Very Easy, the AI will still pummel you mercilessly as though the difficulty was set on Hard or higher. It makes for a wonderful challenge, however when fighting Android #18 and she is constantly using the Aura Burning technique (the most annoying move in the entire game) and spamming the attack where she rushes at you (VERY difficult to avoid) then does it again as soon as you hit the ground, it can get very annoying.

There are also some new characters (Syn Shenron, Pikkon, Janemba, Super 17, Baby Vegeta 2, GT Vegeta, etc), as well as characters having new attacks, some having 2 ultimates and some ultimates being used in real time.
As wonderful as that sounds (and it is a very good improvement), there are several mistakes that make some characters broken, or unusable; an example being Syn Shenron (a new character) - even though you are able to equip all of the attack capsules, the attacks can't be used until Syn Shenron transforms into Omega Shenron, making Syn Shenron a character with no Super attacks and no Ultimate!! Kid Buu's Ultimate is also incorrectly named the "Instant Transition Kamehameha".

All up, Infinite World feels rushed and more like a quick cash in. Even though it's a really good and fun game, it should have been treated with more care and thought, seeing as how this is the last DBZ title for the PS2.

Moving on to the DS:
I have an R4. I have MANY new games now :D
OK, I've already said a lot, so I'll keep this quick:
Mario Kart = fun racing

Drawn To Life = fun and cute, you can be as creative as you want.

Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2008 = A Yu-Gi-Oh game. Its good :D

The World Ends With You = A truly fun game. One of the best for DS
Bleach The 3rd Phantom = Haven't played it much (it's the newest) but so far, good.

Digimon World Championship = fairly good, just like the old tamagotchi toys, but you can have more than 1

Pokemon Platinum = not played much - I'm waiting for the English version, I don't want to play the same game twice.

Dragon Quest The Chapters of the Chosen = Another great game for the DS. Not too far into it, but having tons of fun with it.

Dragon Ball DS/Dragon Ball Origins = Played the Japanese version up to a certain point, then realised "damn I have to do the exact same thing with the English one". Yet another fantastic DS game. Get it!!

Bleach Dark Souls = Haven't played it much, but a great fighter. Fantastic sequel game.

Jump! Ultimate Stars = the most played. Not finished, need a break from it. Very fun, but a little repetitive.

Pokemon Bloody Diamond = Pokemon Diamond hack. Able to catch ALL pokemon in this game. Gym battles harder, wild pokemon much stronger. Elite 4 + champion, VERY HARD. Awesome hack :D

WOW!!! That's a lot! I may not post often but when I do...it's too much!!

That's all for now...

Skip

Too much? (Plus stuff for Miss :D)

OK, this is manly for posting about some new key chains that I got at ShinTokyo - I said to Miss that I'd show them all.

The first one I got was Ichigo, but I decied to give that to my BF (Thats "Best Friend" not "Boy Friend", just to clarify). Then I got Ulquiorra, Grimmjow and Hitsugaya. I got Matsumoto too but I gave it to my sister for her birthday - she and Matsumoto have 2 things in common - boobs and being drunk  Just kidding!!

Oh, and I also thought I'd show you how much my Manga collection is growing - I'm having fun reading them all.
I love how with the Naruto Volumes Masashi Kishimoto writes about himself in between the chapters. Some of the stories he tells are pretty funny - he connects with the reader. Its pretty cool :D

I finaly got Volume 24 of Bleach - and got an Ichigo sticker inside, too. That was cool :D
STILL waiting for the second BIG volume of DragonBall Z - it looks so lonely on the shelf...

Check out the first Half.
And the second Half.

New Manga Heaven!!

Oi-ya!!
OMG!! First off I have to tell everyone - I FOUND AN AWESOME ANIME/MANGA store!! Its called ShinTokyo and I've never been in a more happier place. It has EVERYTHING!!! Manga, Anime DVD's, games,T-shirts and TONS of figurines. It is truly a wonderful place. Members get a certain discount on everything, and get their own personalised members card. But most importantly for me - members get 25% of ALL manga. I nearly died when I saw this. Now I've got volumes 1-4 of Naruto (Its pretty good), Volume 1 of Yu-Gi-Oh! Millennium World and Volume 1 of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX.
Oh, such a cool place!!
Unfortunately, I still haven't seen the second Big edition of Dragon Ball Z anywhere, or the first of Dragon Ball. I'll just have to wait.
I'm also waiting for Volume 24 of Bleach to get here.

I got a new game for DS: Digimon World Championship. As an old fan of Digimon who faded away from the games/show, its nice to see this game. Its like the old tamagotchi toys, but much better. I found out that I was just raising them any old way before, but once I looked up a Digivolution FAQ, I was having more fun, because I knew how to raise them properly.
Its keeping me entertained - I like it.

Oh, and I've nearly completely finished Pokemon...its taken me long enough...

Can't wait for Bleach: Soul Carnival on PSP!!

That's all for now!!

Boston and Manga - Awesome Combo

Its been a while since my last post :D

Ahh, I am finaly completely up-to-date with the Bleach manga being released by Viz, just waiting for Vol. 24 to come out now :D I actually completed the collection within a month - pretty fast, pretty sad :D I feel sorry for the people working at Borders, they have to see me nearly every day.
Yes, I've developed an addiction to Borders - its really funny, there is this one woman who works there, and whenever she sees me she just starts laughing and says "back again?" Ahh its all fun and games :D.
I also bought September's eddition of Shoen Jump - its pretty cool, and I got a free Yu-Gi-Oh! card with it, too!
And speaking of Borders, while I was in there I was brousing through the Manga section (pfft where else would I be?!) and I wandered 'round to the Yu-Gi-Oh! section and noticed that they had Volume 7 of the Millenium World series - this is the first time that i've ever seen it in stock....so i bought it :D Its pretty good - I love the Ceremonial duel.

On another note, I need a new game - I haven't got a new game in AGES!!!
What I have started to do, though, is go over my PS2 games and start playing all of the old ones - i whipped out Digimon Rumble Arena 2 last night...it was mildly entertaining :D

Thats enough for now - BOSTON LEGAL RUUUUUUUULLLLLLEEEEEESSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!

Here we go again...

*Yawn*
Ahh, so it begins - the second semester of Uni...fun...
Sort of looking forward to it, but kinda not :D

I'm making some headway with my Bleach Manga collection, I've got Volumes 1, 2, 5, and 6 as well now - I wanted to get 3 and 4, but apparently they hadn't unpacked them yet - they were in the store...but not on the shelves....so dissapointed - but hopefully getting them today or tomorrow.

Dragon Ball Z Manga has also caught my eye, there is a massive eddition that has the first 3 volumes of Dragon Ball Z - plus it has colour pages - something that is often left out between Japanese and English editions. Its about $40 Australian, which is pretty good considering that the individual volumes are $20 each - which i feel is a bit too much - the US price printed on the back says its $7.95, and while there is a difference in currency value surely its not that big a difference. So, yeah, $40 AU gets you 3 volumes in one with colour pages - much better than paying $60 for 3 volumes all in black and white.

Oh, and why does nearly everyone at the Gotei 13 have pictures of their characters with hats on?!?! Where did they come from?! They look cool - i want one

Anyway, time to go - Uni awaits!!
*runs....falls down stairs....*
Uhhhghh....

Almost Post-Birthday

OK, well it was my 19th birthday yesterday (Thusday 10th) and i'd thought i'd just write about it for a little bit :D.
First off, many thanks to the members of the Gotei 13 Union for all the birthday wishes - thanks so much guys, that was a great way to start the day :)

Well as my birthday fell on a Thursday, I wasn't to keen to do anything then, mainly because its during the week and people work. However my Uni friends decided to take me out for lunch. We had lunch in the Botanical Gardens - it was actually really fun. One of my friends managed to get her hands on some noise makers ... so the gardens weren't that quiet.
It was good spending time with them away from Uni.
While in the city I noticed that EB Games was having a sale so i decided to venture in...something caught my eye but i deceded not to buy it. We then went to Borders (massive book store) and several things there caught my eye...Manga to be presice. Ahh, Yu-Gi-Oh!, DragonBall, DragonBall Z and Bleach...all there...and none of those series complete (damn it!!). But once again, I walked out empty handed.

Our final destination (by now we were down to 3 of us as it was getting on in the afternoon) was Allans Music Store. As music students at Uni, this stop was a no-brainer. Sarah, Josh and I began looking at all of the music books on the second floor - ahh, it was fun. However Josh and I found something that really caught our attention. Music from Star Wars. We flipped through the book and the second piece we see is the Canteena theme. Josh and I looked at each other and we both said "upstairs". The third floor of Allans Music Store is FILLED with pianos for sale...or in our case, for practice. It was fun playing around on a Baby Grand while trying to play the Canteena Theme. After about an hour in Allans we decided to go our separate ways.

By now...I wanted to buy myself a Birthday present (as is my custom)...so what did i do? I stopped over in Borders (the book store) and purchased Bleach Volume 19 (Pretty much Ichigo vs. Byakuya) then went over to EB Games and purchased the game that had caught my eye - Bleach: The Blade of Fate (DS). Ahh, fun.

After that I caught the bus to my sick sister's house and spent some time with her and my brother-in-law.
When i got home, straight on my DS :D Its actually a really good game (might review it :D).

Anyway, enough about Birthdays. A NEW BLEACH CHAPTER IS COMING OUT!! AHH!!!! Thank goodness i was wrong. Thanks Kubo!!
All thats left now, is to wait for Saturday night (my friends from church [some of my closest friends] and some family [cousins]) and Sunday night (immediate family) to get some presents  .... just kidding :P Can't wait, though!!!

Oh, Kubo...why?

Ahh, i've learned that Kubo is having yet another week off from the manga...and of all weeks...Its my birthday Thursday...thanks Kubo.
Oh, well. It had better be a really good chapter when it comes out, though. Something like 20+ pages.

I've joined up with a few more Unions, but The Gotei 13 seems to rule supreme with Bleach fans- and rightly so, its a great Union...JOIN THE KIDO SQUAD!!!

I started playing a new game, Kingdom of Paradise, and i am really pleased with it. Its got a good storyline and the gameplay is fantastic!!

Hmm...can't think of anything else now. Take Care, all.

Big Week!

Wow... so much has happend lately ... where to begin...

OK, well i got so frustrated with Heat the Soul 5's 100 win mode that i downloaded someone else's game save so i could listen to all of the voice work. I'm sort of over HTS5...sort of. It's just frustrating that i can't fight tag battles with everyone! I wanted to fight with Shunsui and Joshiro before i remembered that i couldn't. *sigh* HTS4 kept me entertained for longer....

Ooh!!! The Manga (Bleach) is just friggen awesome!! We've had 9 "turn back the pendulum" chapters and they are all so good!!

The Anime...meh, whatever. I'm still waiting for the fillers to become interesting. Two Zanpakuto releases...both nothing special. I miss Hueco Mundo...

I finally leveled up!!!! I'm level 20 now!! YAY!! AND I FINALLY GOT A NEW BADGE!! I'm neighbourly. Yay!!! I'm so happy!

I now hold 3 positions in the Gotei 13 Union; 4th Seat of Squad 4, 6th commander of squad 15 and Lt. of the new Kido squad - i'm Hachi in the last two. YAY!!! Its a good Union!

*GASP* AND I JUST WATCHED THE LOST SEASON FINALE.....wow. It was goooooooood. It was worth waiting an extra week for.

Well, thats about it. Take care!!
