@sephirothswing: You're welcome. But there is some bad news...on a Preview console, you aren't able to use the offline USB update tool from the Xbox website.
But they do have the process described by The Wee Bear here https://forums.xbox.com/en-US/p/thread/07ab93d2-e5ad-4c2d-9b84-13f52dc74089
I know it isn't much. I hope that you're able to get it sorted out. It seems that some Xbox-ers have found some success.
@sephirothswing: You need to sign in to the Xbox.com Forums, with your Microsoft Account that is a Preview member, to access the Preview forums (1703 being the current preview version). There are others there that are having similar issues to your own.
Here's one that I found that is 18 minutes old (when I submitted this):
@obsidian_born: I've been neglecting adding that feedback for quite a while. If you've already submitted a bug/feedback to the gang at Xbox, let me know. I'll +1 it.
Um. Lots of PlayStation ads before the video, after refreshing. You've got to pay the bills, but it is an interesting into to a potential Xbox message. Can we all just game along.
I don't think that the original Resident Evil would have had the same pulse-pounding, eye-dilating effect if you were playing with someone else. The mounting tension in RE is fed by the fact that you feel "alone" in a totally messed-up situation. I think, in this case anyways, a buddy in your ear would have been of great detriment to the experience of the game. Who knows? Everything seems to by cyclical, and there usually is a backlash that will reverse a trend when the overall population's tastes are sated. Maybe in another decade we will be talking about the advent of the new generation single-player brain melters. A guy can dream.
