I'm glad he lived a long life. Every man has to die sometime, and Yams had contributed more than enough to this industry to help make it what it is today. Heck, if it were not for him, the industry might've never recovered from the '83-'84 crash. Thank you, Yams.
@KelboDelta That's because a PC is running more than just games at any given time. Btw, you don't have to upgrade consoles to play games because they can't be upgraded and the games you have is all you'll get. No enhancements, no mods.
I still have my very first Electronic Arts game for the Apple IIe - Arcticfox. I miss those days when there were virtually no exclusives and everyone had access to the same game that their friends had. There are three things that make me want to quit gaming: Return policy, exclusives, and bloated game franchises.
@dogbert784 It's a shame. They once cared about what people bought. That was the main reason their classic games were so enjoyable. Now it's nothing more than a large cookie factory.
@SEEDman_X EA also has Crysis which in my opinion has gone to shit. "Can it run Crysis" was such a popular phrase. Now all I want to do is run from Crysis.
When EA bought Bullfrog and Westwood, that was when my opnion of them had changed for the worse. Yeah, we're going to buy these companies, milk the shit out of their franchises, and then dissolve them.
@dogbert784 The company has a lot of potential to be great. I remember them in the mid 80's when they offered excellent customer support for my PC games. I think the console biz changed them. I still have hopes for them even though I've been abstaining from buying their games, for the most part. Sims 3 and NFS HP are the only titles I've bought from them in 7yrs.
