Forza = arcade racer.

Id rather play ridge racer 6 or 7.

GT is far more acrcade then Forza ever was. Forza = AAA racing sim GT = NOT.

lol, no. Play GT5 Prologue with no assists, then play Forza 3 with no assists and see which one is "arcade". Forza 3 is still really easy with no assists. You have to actually be good and know what you're doing to play GT without them. I would know since I own both games. GT is superior to Forza in every way as a racing sim.

in your opinion. For the general gaming community (critics and reviewers), Forza has the more realistic physics model, and better gameplay. I cant speak what is better for you the individual, but the general concensus is that FM is the better sim racer while GT is clearly more popular.

My question is........why would any sony fan care? Wouldnt that be celebrating mediocrity? I mean you have the game industry by its jewels for 2 straight gens and then come in third for most of (if not all) of this gen? On top of that, MS has been posting profits since 2007, while sony is still in the red is this gen. (so far) So if sony passes MS, what good does it do if they are still posting losses, or barely making a profit? Tis a shallow victory..............no?

It has somewhat recently come to my attention that the XBOX 360 is finally getting its first bonafide game that was taylor made and built specifically for the XBOX 360 complete with its own "built from the ground" game engine...a game that supposedly is going to "push" the XBOX 360's technical specs.

But this game, ALAN WAKE, it's taken 5 years to make.

This is a long time...just as its taken Gran Turismo 5 years.

I mean, if XBOX 360 is supposed to be "easier"....shouldn't a game like this, with Microsoft backing, be done in significantly less time?

Persistantthug

Most devs have hundreds of developers working on the games..................Remedy is like 40 guys, thats why it has always taken them so long with all their games. Its not just Alan Wake. PS3 is "hard" to dev for because the cell is built to excel at stream processing. Games are mainly multipurpose programming, and game code doesnt break up well. This is why the majority of the time, games are better on 360 because its tough breaking up standard PC code to be run on SPUs. This is also why most PS3 exclusives have custom engines. They almost have to have an engine built for it in order to take advantage of its strengths, and minimize the weaknesses. Ive been try to tell cows this is the MAIN reason why PS3 has shown better graphics than 360 up until recently, it is NOT because the PS3 is "more powerful"

EDIT- Notice to the fanboys/trolls, i clearly used "MOST", so there is no need to list games that YOU feel run well or better on PS3

Its probably easier because of how Live is setup. Live was built to be integrated into the system, Microsoft, and the xbox.com website. I would imagine its just as easy as plugging into the network, kinda like giantbomb has the achievement tracking system. Trophies still have to be manually synched, so i woudl imagine its quite a different method to get it done.

I can't believe people are still OK with paying for online multiplayer, and not even dedicated servers. I played some SFIV to kill about an hour or so in Championship mode on my PS3 today. Guess how much it cost me? $0. If more and more gamers are willing to pay for this crap as they raise the price for stupid stuff (a TV channel, seriously?) I can't blame Sony for eventually trying to cash in on this stupidity. Extra services may be worth paying for, but the basic multiplayer component should be separate and free. Probably my biggest complaint of the 360 (which I am considering buying once a slim hits) besides the dumb points system.sky_rend
See this is one argument against XBL that i can support. I commend you for not resorting to bashing the console. I also agree the basic online play should be free, and maybe charge for the ingame features, and maybe add video capture capability for gold users or something. But i agree that basic play should be free.

Wont happen. One of the main reasons MS seems to be making all the right gaming decisions is because they send out massive amounts of surveys for feedback. I get one about onces every month or two because im a part of MS Connect. I think the majority of those surveyed would react negatively, thus preventing this from becoming a reality..................hopefully :P

You clearly no nothing about networking. :roll:
