Not everyone is using 360 as leading platform anymore. Were seeing more and more devs use PS3 as the lead. and even if its not the lead, they got it to the point where it dosent matter anymore.
being the platform of choice isnt about which version is better than the other, that only matters here in system wars. It allows MS to recruit more support for the platform, and secure more 3rd party exclusives/timed exclusives, and exclusive content.. Thats important, and something they could only dream about last gen since sony had all the devs backing them. System wars bickering isnt an issue to MS or Sony, no matter how much fanboys think they "care about them"
Im confused about what you mean by Platform of Choice. I dont get that from any of the devs. and its not like SONY has been resting on there lorels. Theyve been trying to get Exclusive stuff to and they have. Anyway, I own both, so what ever the game is best on, I get it on that.
By platform of choice i mean developed on, shown to public, demoed to public, used in examples, etc. This pushes the brand, and puts the brand in the forefront of the minds of the gaming public. Sony had this last gen.
I got to wait that long for saints row 3?!?!? Saints row 2 was the best game I ever played and they tell me they will be releasing the 3rd one in 2011 or 2012 :| I'm not waiting that long.

lol, i was thinking the same thing lol. the second came out in 2008, so i was expecting the next one to be out this year :P

I can't explain it any simpler than I have ... 28 = numbers shipped NOT SOLD TO CUSTOMERS, so effectively there were a load of that 28 mil that weren't sold and took a long time to go through the channels so what is 31 then? is it shipped or is it sold? BOTH companies count "Sold" as sold to retailers. Both companies get paid when the console is sitting in walmart. Shipped = Sold to retailers. Tracking sold to customers is extremely hard to do because there are so many variables from returns, defective, excanges, refunds, etc, that its better to track the ones that are bought by retailers. Just about all companies do this. Im not sure how or why you assume sony is counting sold to consumers, or that they deliberately mislead their own stockholdes by UNDERestimating thier numbers. That is both against the law, and it hurts them because it can cause investors/stockholders to sell off stock = company loses value.
You know, i went from foaming at the mouth with the release of every video, trailer, screenshot............to sheer anger and frustration with the release of each. I think PD should just keep their mouths/emails/sample discs shut until they are SURE of a release date. All this releasing stuff whle delaying the game is just turning me off as a long-time fan. Maybe its just me........................
