i agree that its what kind of game you like. But pushing a franchise to the point that the main character is a 70 year old killing machine.... well thats just silly
i seem to remember them saying those exact same words for double agent. Ended up being the same game, with fewer moves and equipment and that joke of a choice system. The gameplay doesnt look that different to me. The same engine in a new setting, whoopdeedoo.
I am so over Splinter Cell. Honestly in my opinion they started the series off well and then it just got progressively more and more bland. All the things that were fun about the original... like the covert feeling, the oh so great legs holding you up between walls, the infiltration and feeling you're doing something deliciously wrong, all began to fade. Even the introduction of the knife into chaos theory felt like they sacrificed so much else for it. I remember doing the wall split thing a whopping once in the entire game. And all the stuff they promised in Double Agent i didnt feel they delivered.
And come on, how old is sam fisher now? 70? No matter how strong he was with the calcification of his joints and brittling of his bones my sister could kick his ass. Does anyone else think this series should have ended two games ago? I cant even get a little excited by the new trailer. you KNOW that cool looking combat is just going to be a cool looking script action meanwhile youve only pressed one button.
To fans of the whole franchise im not trying to piss you off i just want to know what others think.
So I remember reading way back when in pc gamer when arma was in development that it would come to the 360 as well... whats goin on with that? Anyone know?
You're a guy with black hair and an upgradeable shotgun. It was a platformer where you fought these pig like orcs with guns and rock monsters. When you pressed up you would lean up away from the screen to the wall to dodge the shots of your enemies. It was pretty graphic from what i remember. You had these red blinky grenades that effected some serious carnage. Thats all i can remember. Its pretty damn old too.
Okay so I got a great copy of Ultima 8. Ben trying to run it but the window closes as it opens. I can't figure out how to get it to run and I have three PC's with XP (2 of em) and Vista. Can't get the bugger to run on any of them. Does anyone know how to make it run? Like for example do I need to download some program or something? Anyone? eh? eh? eh? *looks around overeagerly
