I didn't really sum up the past week, and I figured I would now.
My birthday was about a week ago, and I expected some games I wanted. A package came and I figured that a game I wanted was in there, but I couldn't open it till the morning of my birthday, which was on a Monday. Anyway, I went to church Sunday evening and my mom stayed home sick. The next morning I tore open the package to find a card for my mother, something for my brother, and nothing for me. So I'm standing there trying to figure out what's going on, when my mom asks me to get some glasses out of the cabinet so she can read her card. After searching for about 20 seconds, I find, big surprise, 2 presents just for me, one of which contained the PS2 Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2. Ha. My mom said she played sick and took the package out of my room while I was gone, ripped it open, swiped my presents, and re-taped the whole thing. I'm gonna get her back somehow on Christmas....somehow. Maybe I can change the clocks or something so she thinks it's not really Christmas.
Moving on. Hey, this is my longest blog, too. I had a couple more packages to open, but I SUSPECTED that my GBA SP I had asked for would be coming in the mail that day. I think it came on Wednesday but I wasn't there for it, so it was re-delivered. So I thought it would only make so much sense to open that package with my other ones that were then locked in my parent's safe. Which I have yet to find the combination for.
Anyway, around 4:30 the mailman rolled around and dropped off the package, so I run outside like a dream-filled 6-year old...which I'm not...to the mailbox, grab the package and lift it up in the sky with a triumphant cry. Not really. I ran the thing inside where my other presents awaited. I found two GBA games (Spider-Man 3 and Marvel: Ultimate Alliance), and I opened up my other package to find...DUH DUN DUH...my new GBA SP with backlight and charger.
Fast-Forward to Black Friday. I had some cash so I decided to browse around GameStop and see what was there. When I arrived there was a small line to the door. When I got in I found that there was a "buy 2 Pre-Owned, Get one Pre-Owned Free" deal so I looked around the Pre-Owned GBA, GCN, and PS2 section. Considering I had gotten MUA2, I ruled out the PS2 section. I concentrated on GCN and GBA, where I finally settled on Pokemon Leaf Green Version,Spider-Man 2 (GameCube), and a pouch for my GBA SP, which, everything else being pre-owned, I got for free (also, I couldn't have saved 30 bucks on Leaf Green, because the free thing had to be the cheapest of the three items).
This past Saturday, I went to see Tangled, and it wasn't so much leaning toward interest for girls than boys, which I liked. By that, I mean that the movie wasn't a chick flick that only the WHAT-EVARist of girls would enjoy.Because I'm not a girl, and if I knew that it was a full-fledged princess movie, it's given that I wouldn't have gone. Some parts in there were real beautiful, the way they combined the songs and visuals. Especially the part with the lanterns. Disney makes pretty good movies. Oh, and this was just Disney, not Disney/Pixar. But both make exceptional movies.
And I pretty much covered all I hoped to. Other than that, I read the last of the new wimpy kid book, which wasn't as good as the others. One thing I'm kind of glad of is that I'm not COMPLETELY addicted to video games. I certainly enjoy them, butthere's nothin' better than pulling up a chair and going on a mystery with the Hardy Boys, or playin' some good-ol football or dodgeball.
So, yeah.
