there is in japan, and debbie does dallas in America. But in my mind i don't want to see it in hd, a little too much details in my opinion. Honestly the stars aren't to hot with the idea, since imperfection will be more noticable. think about it. Plus it shows what class they have, in reality (yes i watch) it is garbage.

wow people NEED to understand two things!

1) It will be at LEAST another year before they even produce these with movies

2) It will take a MAJOR firmware update on all the players, 360 add-on will probably obselete since it already has problem player a good amount of disk.

And the China comment, come-on their communist.... who cares. Plus the piracy of HD-DVD is just ridculous. They will lose SO much money in the Asian market.

Its too late for both of them. As well as the exclusivities, both need to make a marketing push as standard dvd sales are still going strong. As well as recent advancements in scaler technology is no providing same quality visuals off standard dvds.

Yes, sir you got it right, exept they wont fail, they'll coexist for a few years. It will be years before the masses start really purchasing it when hdtv's are lower prices.

Yes they give you more room but seriously the disc only read at 17 bps blu doubles that. It will be about a year before they can issue it. Plus the players will def need to firmwares just to play the new discs. This war will get ugly.
