My guess is it will be the Seraphite Prophet, whose face you see painted all over the place in the game, but who died before you get there. Her death could occur during the show's timeline instead, so they can show her leading the Seraphites' side of the war
@ceelogreen94: For me, that was true for Forza Motorsport (2023), a shallow repetitive grind with little to no appeal for PS5 owners who can play the superior Gran Turismo 7 instead. Not true for Forza Horizons which all have a ton of replay value and longevity
@fatpunkslim: Sea of Thieves and FH5 both first came out a long time ago when Xbox wasn't yet planning or thinking of their new multiplatform push, which didn't come along until after the 2023 purchase of Activision-Blizzard, where suddenly Xbox wasn't just a rounding error on the books anymore and Upper Microsoft started mandating that they increase profits at all costs
@fatpunkslim: Indiana Jones coming to PS5 within 6 months after the Xbox versions suggests Horizon 6 won't have an exclusivity window like this and won't be intended to help sell Xboxes, it will likely launch on PlayStation right out of the gate or very shortly after.
If it's cross-platform again, it doesn't make much sense to launch for just one group of players and delay it for the others. The strongest player community comes from launching for everyone at once
Hmm, I thought this would take longer to happen. Presumably Halo and Gears on other consoles are not far behind, then. Getting closer to the realm of why keep making new Xbox consoles
@teddytabs: Wukong is also poorly optimized and a bit of a technical mess on PS5, with things like a mode that targets 45 fps (???) and another that tries to boost itself from 30 to 60 with frame gen, causing horrific input lag and artifacts. If it was more stable and polished on PS5 then it would be easier to blame the Series S for the delay
