Playstation Wrinkles

So last night I was having lots of trouble connecting my PSP to the internet to update the lastest Network. It kept giving me the error "Access point timed out". So I'm like wth and go to check my router settings. I have a Wireless-G Linksys WRTG54 and its connected to my PC, my aunt's laptop, my Xbox 360 Elite, and my Wii (wirelessly). I was middling with the router settings not realizing wth I was doing. It still wasn't working and it was late in the night.

This morning I was determined to get my PSP ONLINE. I wrote down all the router settings, PSP network Settings and my PC network settings. and I used this website that gives an in-depth tutorial for connecting the PSP to the internet. I had to google some terms, but it wasn't difficult.

Come to find out, my Wireless Security mode was changed to G-only because I didn't know what G-only really was. It was Wireless G only devices not allowing 802.11g devices to plug in. Duhhhhhhhhhhhhh. So i changed it to MIXED, made sure the WEP was actived, added that key into PSP, set everything else to automatic. Also I had to change the channel of the network to the channel on the router. Where the heck was this - in the Ad Hoc mode, change channel to 1, 6 or 11. I orginially had the router on default to channel 6, then changed it to 11, now back to 6...

Set all settings and kaboom, the internet was on in a matter of a minute. I can see why old people have the problem of "what the heck is the internet?" type thing. (I got an A on a paper where I related internet use to social decline of a person, haha. not even related to this topic but oh well)

After all that , i worked up a hunger and started downloading stuff onto the PSP. Even signed up for Skype even though I have no headset. I first downloaded this PSP Messenger 1.0 so I could chat with friends from the PSP. Then I got some new themes since I never added any themes before. Added themes like Bleach and Naruto. Love em!

Last, I signed up for the PSN. My PSN is of course SpawnHellraiser. Told ya! Now I just need the PS3 and get my DS to go online and I'm good.

How do YOU search for jobs?

Well, as you may know I am jobless. So I have been constantly looking online for jobs. I recently got responses but nothing I should celebrate about. These days job applications are online and if they aren't you gotta know where to go.

There is a career center by my way so I'm gonna go check it out on Monday hoping there isn't a long line from around the corner to the place. My grandfather and I had a disagreement today because he thinks his opinion is worth something when it's not. He lives with us which means he had no insurance to get into a nursing home normally. He is a burden yet he feels he has the right to tell me what I should be doing about my job searching; even saying that you gotta get up and go somewhere to find a job. Been there done that, so I asked him "when was the last time you went to look for a job?" It's been more than 15 years because he is like 70-something years old. I told him everything is online and if isn't not, chances are you need to know somebody to get you in and I don't know ANYBODY. So i have to do things the normal way.

My friends and family say I gotta have hope. Well its been almost 6 months now and no interview. Sorry folks but I'm losing hope. I can start to feel what the businessmen of the 20's felt like when they decided to leap to their dome on Wall Street @_@

Spring Cleaning...Everyone's Doing It...

So what's it gonna be Gentlemen more than Ladies? Have you started Spring Cleaning yet? If not, what the heck you waiting for...A Maid? HA! Maids are for P*ssies.

I spent the whole day cleaning my room. Right now my back and my hips hurt. WHERE ARE YOU VANSULIS? I need your assistance!

So my gramps has this thing where he wants people to cook for him but without letting them know that's what he wants. So he proceeds to ask me today, "What you gonna eat?" I says "Nothing, I'm not hungry right now." He says "well Im freakin' hungry." And i want to say but don't "And that's my problem because why?"

Now Gents, he is able to walk, take a dump and feed himself. What's with the implications? So i went into my room to begin or resume cleaning up. haha. i love it. The old coot needs to GO...

So what now? Well i got some trash i need to sort through, then im pretty much finished with my room. the living room needs some work though. i really want to resume playing my games, since it's been awhile.

Is it safe for the Xbox elite to be on carpet laying down?there's plenty of space behind it for air circulation cause its close to a window.

in other news, has anyone checked out my website and forum? Yeh its still in the works but its pretty cool. i haven't updated it in like a week or so but its ok.

Also, an important update...I FOUND MY HALF-SISTER. My father had a kid out of wet-lock before i was born, we are 6 months apart actually. i found her via facebook in two days after i found out her name. it's a long story, but its safe to say we've been talking to each other for a week now. she lives in Virginia. and we look alike too.

And So It Goes...

My life in a nutshell: Spontanoeous. Why? Cause I make it so crazy so insane that you have to make me your best friend so you can keep up with the gossip. Better than reality TV? idk, I'm not a white person. hahah, no offence to my white friends though.

Example: I take a walk around the park with my mom, a 45-min 1-mile walk. We both listen to our MP3 players. MP3 player + me = rockin' real hard. I'm dancing on the block during some baseball games the park has meanwhile people still in there cars plus the cars alongside the highway turn their gaze on my dance moves. Has to be real embrassing but hey, IM EXERCISING!

In other news, I watched TWILIGHT. I must say.....this movie....is...AWESOME! I can't believe how much I loved it. My gramps is even hooked on it. Every other minutue he kept saying how Edward should bite Bella. That would be a sight cause she got on my nerves a little. I also saw The Day The Earth Stood Still. Why were people bashing this movie? It was good. Keanu was lucious as awlays. I liked how they made human beings, no, sorry, THE UNITED STATES , look like bullies. I mean , shooting someone for saying Hello? OWNED...it's no wonder Klaatu wanted to exterminate us. Never shoot the messenger AWholes!!

In more news - I deleted my old website and created a new one with Google. (WHEN IN DOUBT GOOGLE...my motto of many). I also have my own forum. I don't even know why I do these things. it's not like I have a huge fanbase or anything. But I guess I'm bored. So if you want to check it out and help me with the links are available.

Found another Calling!

Sup, Gentlement more than Ladies? How are things lately? I can't wait 'till Wolverine and Transformers 2 comes out. Have a bit 'o crush on Shia Lebeouf and Taylor kitsch. They are some F-I-N-E guys! Don't worry, my boyfriend knows all about it. Girls - can you blame me?

Anywho, the NYS Professionals Exam on March 8th went well, but not without a crazy story. Are you sitting down? Here it goes:

I set my alarm clock the night before for 6:30am (test starts at 9am). Took my clothes out had my bag ready. I woke up at 6:30am, only to find out that its DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME and its an hour ahead! I'm panicky. I call my bf at (7:45am) and started huffin and puffin like Spongebob Squarepants having a panic attack. He says to calm down and to call the place or something. I says there's no way I'm going to travel through two boroughs in an hour and a half for 9am ON A SUNDAY! I call the number listed for emergency on my letter. The woman who answered was really nice and said there's another test time today at 2pm. I said thank God, you saved my life.

So I hung up and went back to bed. lol.

Now, I get up and out my 12pm for the 2pm test. I get there around 1:30pm and my mouth drops as I approach the line. The only time I have seen a line that stretches from the middle of the avenue to around the corner is on a Career Fair. I don't even know how many people showed up, but when I got on the line, it was half way down the avenue. In 10 mins, the line stretched around the corner. The test was suppose to begin at 2pm? well I didn't even get in the building until 2:11pm. We started around 3-something. I was finished about a quarter to 5. They give us 3.30 hours. It was 60 questions. Five different parts. The last part was like WTF, had precentages of stuff. I said to myself "The last time I did precentages was in high school." O well.

So for the title of my blog - Found another calling...

Well I've decided to go back into Market Research but this time it's concentrating in Focus Groups and other full-time work I can get at. I have about a year or so in the field, I think I can get my foot in the door. There's also those paid surveys online I can do to get a little income rolling. I can do this while looking for a full-time position and waiting for US Census 2010 and NYS jobs to come through.

In other news...

I have not yet had the pleasure of buy/getting my hands on Madworld. But I have seen a movie on dvd recently - Burn after Reading and Slumdog Millionaire. Both movies were really good. Burn After Reading was tragically funny and makes you wonder if the Intelligence Bureus of United States act like that and how stupid some Americans can be. My favorite line in the movie is by John Malchovich - "Oh, yes. You see, you're one of the morons I've been fighting my whole life. My whole f8ing life. But guess what... Today, I win."

In other news

Updated my gaming website, but it's still no cigar. My toolbar is pretty cool though. Though I need to somehow increase the size of the icons.

I take a NYC Professional Careers Test tomorrow at 9am. Hopefully I pass with flying colors and manage to get a job soon with the City or State.

SF movie bombed and so has my job searching

Hello all. Looks like I haven't mad a blog in about a month. True be told I have been playing .hack G.U. vol 3 all this time so I can be rid of the series finally. I'm close but no cigar.

My job searching is going ok, but still haven't gotten an interview. I'm picking up a new stategy - contacting companies directly and asking if they are hiring. I have a couple of places to call tomorrow, so we'll see what happens. I also have a NYS professional exam March 8th. Woot!

But my bills are stacking and my bf is paying for my pre-ordered games. I pre-ordered SFIV but had to cancel. I pre-ordered Madworld but it looks like i have to cancel that as well. My bf said he might pick me up a copy of SFIV. I want the special edition, but any copy is good. He has it for the PS3 and I must say that game looks SWEET. I played my main fighters of course - Chung Li and Byson.

In other news, I finally got a tv in my bedroom. ITs a hand me down, but plenty of juice left in it. I moved all my systems to my room, therefore limiting more space. Grr. I hate small rooms.

Training for Security Position

omg, dude. Who would have thought I would be going into the security guard business. I can see it now. ~Hey you...Stop right there. Don't make me get my mase. Stay on the floor or I'll bust you up with these boobies.~ hahahha. oh man, my boyfriend gonna kill me.

In other news - I'm getting over my sickness finally. I have been playing my Wii more than my 360 for some reason. I'm playing Okami. Want to finish that damn game.

So how is everybody? How's the new year treating ya? Sorry Sen and Neon, I haven't been on 360 much to play Left 4 dead or Fable 2 with ya. I promise, I'll be on it to play them games to. But when I get on, I'm all into Midnight Club Dub Edition. I want to get NFS though.

Has anyone played that arcade game: Dash of Destruction. It's a game where you are either the T-Rex or Doritoes Truck Driver, and you're trying to capture the truck to eat doritoes or you're the truck trying to make you're deliveries. That game was odd but rather fun. Except being the T-Rex, The every so SLOW dinosaur, but in movies it's ironic...

Got fired from my Job

Well Gentlemen, I was released from work Yesterday for known reasons. I actually expected to get the Axe since my company was firing people left and right like Wall Street. Besides, I was tired of working there anyway. I'm not even worried. Life's too short to be angry over things out of your hands. This just gives me mor time to focus on what I should be doing and that's working in a field I love - Video Games. Or A professional enviroment such as Clerical/Administration and IT.

anywayz, I have enough games to last practically all year. But I would like to at least buy MadWorld for Nintendo Wii and SFIV for Xbox 360. I even pre-ordered the special edition for SFIV. but I probably will put it on hold if I have no job by the time it comes out.

I can also focus on writing a novel. I want to inspire my boyfriend so he can get off his donkey (instead of saying High Horse cause's he's feeling low - get it? hahha :P) and do something with what he's got. He is an artist - drawing and writing. I wish he would make something of it.

I keep reading that the 2008 games weren't that great, or what we can salvage from 2008 line-up? I don't know what these people are smokin, but there were great games that came out in 2008. I swear, some people have no busienss writing THE BEST AND WORST GAMES OF 2008. Everyone has their own list, so it's never official. and when they do, they never give reasons.

BTW, my toolbar is coming along great - I have gotten lots of installments since it's debut. And it actually looks professional. So take a look. Wicked Gaming Toolbar

And how was your day, SPAWNIE?

I got Persona 4 for Xmas!

My boyfriend surprised me with Persona 4. Woot! I've been playing it ever since. I totally didn't expect him to buy it. He felt so bad that I had to cancel my pre-order, so he brought it for me. He's such a sweetheart.

I pre-ordered MadWorld, Street Fighter IV: Collector's Edition and Afro Samurai 2.

I really like Persona 4. I would give it about an 8.5. I actually putt he game on Expert difficuilty so I'm having a bit of problems getting through with the Shadows.

Happy New Years everyone!
