"instead of scheming ways to blatantly rape our ass wallets."
Hmm... IMO that sounds exactly what Nintendo has been doing for the last 2 generations at least. They've released less competitive and more gimmicky crap than any other game company out there. Innovation my back side. :/
Honestly the only thing Nintendo has done is introduced the world of gaming to droves of non-gamer, gamers. They've managed to make making games harder on the rest of the industry and honestly I would like to see them fade out as a console maker and just stick to making their beloved franchises.
@talkcasual @Splincir @ratchet200 Quality voice acting counts to bringing across a more believable and emotional experience. Thats the whole point. It wasnt just the voice they wanted. They mocapped his face, theyre not just voice actors in games anymore. With a lot of the facial capture tech out there, video game acting is moving beyond sitting in a booth talking into a mic. ITs called increasing the overall production value of the game. Better voice acting, more believable animation add in a bunch of things that tie you closer to the characters in game. Part of good gameplay is being to tie you to the characters or story being told. In the past because of the lack of tech and hardware devs had to rely on other methods. Like in the 80s none of this was possible it was all about the mechanics of gameplay. But remember how awesome it was when mario 64 and ocarina of time came out and you could play two of your most beloved franchises in 3d. Over time theyll continue to add and have continued to add more layers of realism.
@mojoboy31 @Isaac_Redfield Exactly my thoughts. When i saw this i thought exactly what they said i shouldnt. I thought oh great another post apocalyptic zombie game... yay(sarcasm). Sorry naughty dog but your blatant arrogance has kept me away from this title. I enjoyed the indian jones like feel from the uncharted games, but im tired of all the zombie crap. When is it going to faze out like WW2 games. Please soon I hope.
Right now its like every developer comes up with an idea for a game and when theyre done with it they say to themselves, " you know what would make this better, Zombies. Okay everyone figure out a way to tack zombies in our game. ooh i got it... we'll make them fungal zombies and not call them zombies even though they are just that"
@talkcasual @ratchet200 U mad? I think Sutherlands voice sounded good as snake. Bringing actual voice talent to the english side of the game could help it more than hurt it. Most asian games that are translated post production usually have pretty poor voice acting. Same goes for most american games translated into other languages its usually an after thought and done poorly. Its like watching a jakie chan movie from the eighties, and i mean the dubbed versions not the subbed. The voices are so bad its comical.
It doesn't look "next-gen" because it suffers from the same crap most PC games did this gen... theyre crappy console ports. This is just a 360 port. Increased texture resolution, better frame rates, a few extra lighting and particle effects is what youre getting between the two versions.
@Sohaim @grove12345 @dani_i89 @Melchior111 @dawg295 Don't want to throw a wrench in there, but I hate to break it to you that sony lied about hardware last gen and how much power it would provide. Only when the system was released and toms hardware as well as others cracked the thing open did we find out they were full of crap.
Not saying that's the case this gen. Honestly though after the very poor showing at E3 with awful framerates and lack of antialiasing or FXAA plus a few other features that should be possible on next gen, Im not convinced Sony is being completely forthcoming. I know none of that was final product, and that's not the final PS3 those were dev kits, but dev kits are a pretty accurate indication of how the system will perform. It is also highly improbable that almost every game was in such an early and poor state that it caused them to all run poorly.
Anyway I would wait till both systems are released to see whats really in the cases.
@quakke Maybe in her future, people are genetically altered, maybe shes like wolverine or another like character and has some level of cellular regeneration. Its a game in a fantasy world. Coming up for a reason for a gameplay mechanic should be simple enough even if it doesnt make sense in the real world.
@the_big_doggg This. They want to be able to say, see we listened and added that feature you all wanted so badly. (all while he rubs his hands together and laughs maniacally)
@TerminalError hmmm, I never had an issue with AC3 on my PC. I guess maybe it was poorly optimized for a broader range of machines. I couldnt help but think as i played how flawless it ran and how much cleaner it looked than its console counterpart.
@lonesamurai1 @MjnE Yeah im sorry Im a pc gamer and if watch dogs runs and looks like it did on the ps4 stage demo.... then no thank you. It looked like a current gen game but running at 18fps, well very spotty fps at that. Either way we saw a pc game play demo a whole year ago. The game looked infinitely better, the graphical fidelity automatically led everyone to believe it was a next gen game... well if this years PS4 stage demo is any indication of how this game will look and run then once again we have another generation of games holding back developers from really delivering their visions.
