Thanks for the 80s, Michael

If anyone ever came close to being a pop idol to me, it would be Michael Jackson. I was a huge fan of his during the 80s, especially around the time that his Thriller album came out in 82. Back then, I was just a middle school kid and never quite connected with the other kids because we did not share the same interest in music. But when Michael Jackson hit the charts with Beat It, things all changed. Thanks Michael.

A Big Shoo-in.

To be honest, when I first saw the clip of President Bush ducking the shoe, I was hoping the second shoe would hit him in the face. I know it was a bad thing to hope for, but it would have made my evening. Since last year, I decided I was going to listen to the song "Walking in the Air" every Christmas, and that's what I intend to do for the next few days. Anyway, as some of you have read in my past blog, I'm spending less time here at this site and rather am spending most of my online time playing online games instead. I never intended to get myself hooked onto those MMORPGs but I did so anyway. The games itself isn't really so much fun, but it's the social unity in that place that I kinda like. I've joined the factions and guilds over there and have built-up a bond with my members in the group, although most of them are young. I like it so much now that it has come to this...I'm actually asking if anyone here wants to join me over there too. There are three online games that I would recommend to anyone interested, the first two requires commitment of your time and the third only requires a few seconds of your precious time. None of them requires you to pay anything nor do they require you to download any software. If you are interested, please send me a PM and I'll give you the link and I'll even put in a recommendation to my group so you can join us. And finally, Happy Holidays to all of you!

Department for Appropriate Behavior

It took me some time to finally figure out that this was actually an ad and nothing more after concluding that such a department did not exist any where in Asia. The whole thing made me recall a time when we had to endure the "wet blankets" who would ban every show/music/book that they deemed 'damaging' to society. And although society has grown to be more open minded, there are still certain issues that are too taboo. For example, shows with gay themes still cannot be broadcast on television or radio or possibly even books. Btw, I've recently watched all 3 of those shows and I love them.

Congradulations America!

I just want to congratulate everyone on their decisive decision, and wish you all the best with your upcoming new government. I will look forward to celebrating with you when your old one steps down. :D

I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell

Well maybe I'm not a little unwell but I've enough strength to write. A couple of days ago I caught a really bad case of pneumonia but I refused to see the doctor which was a big mistake. Last night I found myself alone and helpless in bed with a high fever. I had an unusual nightmare which I could not remember except that it involved a lot of pain, the world financial market collapse and my fight to stay alive. Even while asleep I knew I had to wake up and cool my head or else I would be in trouble. I finally awoke and struggled out of bed, I was burning and struggled to the toilet and drenched my head with the shower. Well anyway, I'm feeling better but I still refuse to take some of the medicines I was prescribed. Yes, I am a foolish man. Oh and for you anime fans, I'm currently watching a new anime called Casshern Sins, it is a new remake of an old show which I never got a chance to see when I was a kid, although I had the action figures.

It's just a game!

Firstly I just want to say that I was not around on Sept 30 to join the 'black out' which required that I not be around, so I did my part anyway. I have not stopped by here frequently as I should but I just want to let you know that I am still around. I mostly have been visiting other sites and last month, I have even tried playing an online MMORPG for the first time in my life. I didn't think much of the game at first and was reluctant to kill any creatures I encountered as it felt so wrong. After slaughtering a few snow leopards and putting a few natives out of their misery, things wasn't so bad further on cause the encounters I had later were only against monsters. Even though the game's objective was a meaningless one, it still had me hooked and I can't explain it. Often times I have considered quitting the game but...sigh. Maybe I'll quit next month. Sigh, I miss Missribs. She listened.

I'm Still Around, SO BACK OFF!

I received a msg informing me that I was being tagged as MIA and was warned that my editor status on one of my guides was going to be retired. I just wanna state to all those witch hunters out to back off! I don't want my guides to end up as someone's list of trophies. If you want my guide, then you have to actually care about the show, and so far, I haven't had someone who is that qualified.

It's Earth Day Today

I only have a minute here so I have to be quick. Firstly, the reminder that today is Earth Day. So far and not surprisingly, there has been very little progress in the climate talks and very little interest expressed from everyone. There have been some positive actions made in some countries, but...

Totany Stark: Ironing Man

I am To'tany Stark, billionaire (in Iranian Rial) playboy (but doesn't play with boys) and brilliant inventor (or fabricator), on yet another s(t)uper adventure of mine that no one else is willing to take on. But such is the life of a bachelor, we have to do our own house chores if we aren't willing to part with currency. I don't mine the chores since modern day inventions have made chores much more faster and easier to complete than those decades ago. However, there is one chore I dislike that I often put off till too late, which also takes forever to complete, and that is ironing. Apparently modern science still has not come up with a device that will speed such work up. About a decade ago, I even tried those awful looking "no ironing required" shirts, they looked alright hidden underneath a jacket, coat or smock. But out in the open, jeez...they attract more awful stares than if I was stark naked. And at times, those shirts makes me feel like I was wearing iron. Today's "wrinkle free" shirts are more comfortable but still...
