Here's a solution, if you don't think your children are ready for the big scary world full of murderers then you should keep them inside your womb until they're 18 and ready to understand the difference between fake stuff and real stuff, hell you can leave your tampon up there too for a little added protection.
" Since the launch of War Z recently there's been a lot of confusion outside of the DayZ community about to what the War Z is and how it fits into the zombie survival genre"
Well no shit Gamespot, your comparison of The War Z and DayZ video was completely borked. The War Z guy sounded like a Hammerpoint PR rep regurgitating Sergey Titov's long list of BS statements and the DayZ guy hadn't played in months and probably never made it off the coast.
I can't disagree with the choice but when they say this year has massive improvements is not true. Sure they have a simple mode now but the meat n bread of the game is exactly the same as FM12 and 11 for that matter.
You can get a deep understanding and appreciation of football from FM and really understand the intricacies of the game and enjoy it a lot more as a result I think. The career mode in FIFA is nearly unplayable if you've ever got into a FM game. It's really unforgiving at first but you get a real sense of accomplishment from building a team and shaping the club the way you want or even just tweaking your tactic at the right moment and seeing it pay off.
It may be just a bunch of numbers and text but each player is a lot more unique and you do get a better attachment to your players and they even seem more realistic than the copy n paste FIFA models, downloading the real logos, kits and player faces is a must for this game in my opinion.
I think more technical advancements are important not just for pretty graphics but for better AI and more interactive worlds. Now we are finally getting out of the uncanny valley with the character models, they need to focus on the AI systems that govern how they act and how the world reacts to us.
We've seen some utterly lifelike character models in Uncharted, Mass Effect etc but when you see them acting like a pre-programmed robot, all that of that investment and hard work is for nothing because the illusion is instantly broken. They try to get around this with the use of cut-scenes but that does the medium a disservice, in my eyes they should be aiming to have every meaningful interaction take place naturally to the player in the game instead of being made up of rigid movie bits (cut scenes) and game bits (gameplay).
Well I'm glad I gave up on Gametrailers and migrated back here, at Gametrailers their features were thinly veiled iPad advertisements and poorly written articles taken from other websites. This was a really interesting read and actually made me think about the subject instead of making me want to write hate mail.
"Our other objective was to promote discussion of violent video games" by burning the devil devices at the stake for possessing our children and making them kill innocent people.
Why are there so many new expensive portable consoles in development now? They didn't learn anything from the DS and PSP, the DS being much cheaper was a lot more successful and the PS Vita priced itself out of the market and is struggling to get developers to make games for it. Not even to mention that they are also competing against other tablets a lot cheaper. I don't think many people will stump up an extra £300 to get better graphics on a 10 inch screen. If this thing can even be considered portable at all.
