Okay first of all you can't blame the religion if people acted for greed. But if you want to do that.....EVERY GROUP HAS KILLED AND FOUGHT OVER RESOURCES IN HISTORY. Yes even before Christianity existed. But because person A claims to follow religion B does NOT mean they are doing the actions in the name of religion. NONE OF YOUR EXAMPLES WERE DONE BASED ON RELIGIOUS TEACHINGS. So that argument fails.[QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"]

Christianity was responsible for the murder of thousands (if not millions) of Native Americans all throughout North and South America.
Christianity justified slavery and racial segregation for hundreds of years within the USA.
It can't be that great a religion if all kinds of atrocities occurred "under the good name of Christianity."

Any country that adopts Hinduism is a severely limited country, as the religion dictates that a poor man could never become anything else except a poor man.
It's completely ludicrous considering that we live in a 21st century society.

What I'm saying is that you can't ignore the flaws of lots of religions just because Islam justifies archaic practices.
If you're going to condemn one religion, you have to condemn all of the infringing ones.

I will admit I don't know much about Hinduism but the problem tends more to be when a government is run by religious ideologies rather than the religion itself. So I'd guess that argument fails as wells. But like I said I haven't really studied too in depth Hinduism.
I'm pretty sure that the Puritans had a compulsive desire to "cleanse" the "infidels" because they weren't following the Lord God's word.
Weren't the Native Americans considered heathens because they weren't Christians?
We didn't have to wipe them out.

Governments were run on Christian teachings for thousands of years.
In Europe the Catholic Church had tremendous power.
"Religious ideologies" and "religion" are the same thing.
If you massacre a society in the name of Christianity, you're doing it because the original texts can be interpreted in a way that justifies your cause.
So christians doing bad things in the past make them comparable to muslims doing horrible things all over the world right now? In the 21st Century?
Every group has its "bad apples" (and its bad times), but only the religion of Islam has currently spread a wave of terrorism and Chaos to every concievable part of theworld, including the U.S. since September 11, 2001.
