Yeah, Konami's "rip-off" is quite the disappointment.
All they had to do was bring together GuitarFreaks and Drummania before the millenium came and they'd have this market secured. But no, instead, they chose to make a "rip-off" of something they came up with and totally trashed their old but solid IPs. Seriously, what the hell is up with that new drum set they're putting in Rock Revolution? The one in Drummania was seriously so much better, but instead, they opt for some flat, low-budget, piece-of-crap.
Haze, how bout it?
Then there's Assassin's Creed, which bores the shat out of me. Still in Memory Block 4 and haven't touched it since 4 months ago. And even then, I was only going around "assassinating" people randomly because the story was such a snorefest.
I'll reserve my judgement for Resistance:FoM because I've only played the demo (which sucks btw) and curious as to exactly how much better the full game is. There's too many fans that praise it without dwelling into the details, so it's tough to get a real analysis of it without a hard copy.
I wouldn't be surprised if they made something related, but I wouldn't count on seeing any of the Gears of War games coming to the PS3. That's like Nintendo putting Mario on the playstation or xbox.
On the other hand, seeing how there's "demand" for it, it'd be easy money if they released one on the PS3. Economically-viable..
Online co-op will be god-awful-useless. Most people you find online won't even stick around to complete a single level.
Whatever happened to good ol splitscreen multiplayer, when people could actually have fun with friends in the same room... When you could actually have some console-entertainment at parties, rather than just watching one guy play...
Well, I've been saying it was awfully generic ever since its demo was released... But there were always hopefuls saying that it was a year-old build and that things have "drastically" improved since then. I doubt it though, why release a demo that could deter prospective buyers from making the purchase? A subpar demo is essentially the most effective negative PR you can give a game, and that's exactly what Haze was.
Well, at least now with all the reviews, people will stop making up stupid rumours about how great this game is. It might've been a while back, but long delays are usually a sign of something gone wrong.
Let's hope Killzone 2 remains awesome. The playable demos they had pretty much confirm the quality of the graphics, we'll just need to hope that they have good gameplay mechanics and storyline to go along with it.
Would jumping into an electrified piece of sponge and watching sackboy explode qualify as "killing people"?
If not, LittleBigPlanet is right for you.
What about pulling ridiculous stunts while holding the Nitrous injection button and getting your car crashed into a pulp?
If that's ok too, then Burnout Paradise is right up your alley.
You could always go and get Echochrome, Super Stardust, flOw, and everyday shooter.
