Now I would say

1. Yakuza

2. God of War

3. Castlevania

MGS and DMC used to be in the list, but I hated DmC and DMC4, maybe 5 will redeem the series for me. MGS5 I didn't enjoy either

Because games scoring under 9 aren't bad.......when games get consistent 7's or 8's they are probably good games with a couple of flaws or just for a specific audience.

Yakuza is a great example, these games consistently get AA scores, they have a few flaws and they definitely have a specific audience but that doesn't make them bad games. Yakuza 0 is my Game of the Generation so far.

Now if a game is getting scores of 6 or lower consistently......then yeah that might be a sign of a bad game.

1. Yakuza 0 - This game got me into the entire series and I have had a blast playing them all, It's a shame I didn't play them earlier.

2. GOW - I was in awe almost the entire time

3. Bloodborne - This game's combat was so good it made it hard to play other games for a while

4. Spider Man PS4 - I've never had more fun traversing a game world before, the swinging mechanics are amazing.

5. Dead Cells - It reignited my love for retro games, and metroidvania titles, I know it does't do anything groundbreaking unique, but damn every mechanic in this game is just so smooth, and I can tell a lot of love was put into the game.

Edit* Honorable mentions would be Mario Odyssey, Witcher 3, Yakuza 6, Ghost Recon Wild lands, Horizon Zero Dawn

I think Yes, but in a different aspect.

I think MS will move away from consoles, maybe not next gen, but eventually. I think they will still continue to publish games BUT they will also focus on services more with Game Pass and Xcloud.

I think with a digital future this is a good thing. The console game stores need digital competition, because right now Sony and Nintendo have a digital monopoly on their respective consoles.

Plus MS has never been good at hardware, Zune, Windows Phone have been flops, and the X1 is struggling against the PS4 and Switch.

Surface is ok I guess

It would be a game collector's wet dream if the PS5 could play PS1-5 games all in one console!

As far as the overall appearance and ease of use, I like the eshop just fine.

But the prices are ridiculous, Nintendo is clearly taking advantage of the situation where they have a digital monopoly on their hardware; a problem I've brought up in the past about an all digital future.

It's funny, because PSN and Live typically have higher prices than retail or PC digital stores, BUT they at least have sales frequently.

Nioh 2, DMCV, and Sekiro TBD.

How does Yakuza Ishin differentiate itself from the combat of Yakuza 0?

I'd spend 60 on it. Haha. It's Zelda... Its gonna be worth my money.

Now if I could go back and return 60 dollar flops like Uncharted 4 which totally took advantage of my time, or even no man's sky at 60... Bleh... Mass effect andromeda still makes me puke. DESTINY! ARRRRG! Those are games I'm ashamed I spent 60 on. A new/remake top down Zelda game on switch? Yep... Gonna get my money's worth on that.

I agree 100% If the length and quality of content is there, Im fine with $60. I wish I could get back my $60 for The Order 1886

HOWEVER! I don't like how Nintendo charges full price for remastered Wii U and Gamecube games. Those aren't remade, just ports. I'm going to be mad if Prime trilogy on Switch is $60

I mean it can be smart I guess, but the game had a huge marketing budget once it released, I've been seeing it every where.

But secret/surprise launches can bite you in the ass too. Look at the Sega Saturn for example.

Say if the game had a physical release and was only offered at Walmart for a while, other retailers could retaliate by not carrying the game ever. AKA Sega Saturn.

@Shewgenja: Very well said.

It's truly a bad situation when a fan base is wanting a next gen of consoles to start because their console of choice flopped.
