Ah, so a kind of switcher for the three consoles, not a generic component switcher like I thought. Thanks for clearing that up.

Yeah, looking at it, it looks to be fine if you want to conserve component cable ports on your TV... Even includes L and R audio jacks. However, you have a home theater system. If you want better sound, you may want to hook the LR audio through there instead of directly to the TV. Obviously the jacks may not be long enough to reach anywhere but to the TV, so what you'll need is kind of like my setup with the PS2, you'll need an RCA extension cable.

If you need an example of what one looks like, here it is. Basically think of it as an extension cord for your LR audio to reach to places other than your TV.

Keep in mind three things however:

1. The above is if you want just the video going through the TV, and the sound going through the home theater system. If you want all audio and video going through the TV only, you can just connect all five cables to the inputs on your TV.

2. Since they are component cables, and I have not had much experience with them in an HD environment, I could not tell you if you will get full 1080i or 1080p modes or not, they may be disabled on your Xbox, even if your TV supports them.

3. The cables you are looking at and the RCA extension cable are all third party cables. Since they're not the original cables, I could not guarantee how the end result will be. For me this worked (And I did this with a PS2, not with a 360.) but every system setup is different.

Hope this helps, good luck! :)

Technically if you try that, it would be bordering on fraud, and you could get into serious trouble with the law that way. But I digress. I wouldn't recommend you try it anyway, as Microsoft may not make you change your gamertag... But rather they'll suspend your account instead, and the accounts of all the people who reported you falsely for offensive gamertag.

What do I think? The average Joe Gamer isn't going to care.

I can't think of many 360 gamers that actually went for the HD-DVD drive, probably because they already had dedicated high definition players in their homes already, or were happy with upscaling standard DVDs. In fact I can't think of many people that actually watch DVDs on their 360 either.

Sure, it's bad. But only for Microsoft, and the ones who actually bought the HD-DVD drive. Other 360 users probably won't even care. They'll continue to play their games on Live. Games will still be released. This won't stop until the next-gen is over, which it won't be for a while.

Some argue that the PS3 has won the console wars already by this, and I'd rather not get into a lengthy discussion about which console is better.

I had a look at what you mentioned, and I'm confused. Is this just a single set of component cables for the 360/Wii? Or like a kind of switcher box for it?

Either way, if your 360 model includes an HDMI port and you have an HDTV, I would recommend you use an HDMI cable instead for better picture clarity. If you don't have that port on your 360, component cables are still good, but you might be able to find the original cables cheaper than what you're looking at.

To be quite honest there's not enough specifics in your post to determine what would be good for you - we don't know what kind of HDTV you have, what Xbox model you have, if you have a home theater system or not, etc...

Funny you should mention this game, it's one of the recent ones I purchased. I was curious just like you about this game and why there was so little discussion about it

Personally I picked it up at a nearby GameStop used for about 10 bucks, and I don't think it's bad... But yes, there's something missing from the game, and while I was not a 360 owner at time of launch (Only have had an Xbox for about three months now.) I do agree that it may have been buried by other games that came out soon after it.

Also, I've never played the original Perfect Dark, however, from what I read it's supposed to be a prequel to the Perfect Dark story, not a sequel? Hence Perfect Dark Zero?

Some people think it's a game that was great for it's time. Others think it was a pile of... Well, you get the idea. Either way, it just seemed to fade out of the spotlight rather quickly.

From my days playing Final Fantasy VII to playing Mass Effect recently, I have NEVER bought a game guide. Ever.

I HAVE however looked for quick solutions to things on online walkthroughs for RPGs, but I rarely read or print the whole thing. Doesn't go for just RPGs either, I tend to do it for most games. Though for things that are truly secret in the game, I try to go through the game at least once before I go looking for answers or ways to unlock secret things.

Couldn't tell you much about the others, but I can say this:

Call of Duty 4's single player is EXTREMELY short. Probably won't take you more than 8 hours to beat, maybe even less. If you're playing the multiplayer mode however on Xbox Live, there's literally tons upon tons of hours you could play it and probably not get sick of it.

Saw this on GameSpot earlier, already expressed my feelings in a comment about it, but figured I'd add a few more things:

A lot of people are angry that many are blaming Mr. Romero for the lawsuit, when in fact it was not him. I realize this, and what I meant by producer was Mr. Rubenstein. George A. Romero probably had nothing to do with this.

Secondly, I honestly think they aren't going to win this because there's no real proof. Sure the "zombies in a shopping mall" idea was copied, but not verbatim. There are changes left and right in Dead Rising versus Dawn of the Dead. So it's not like they copied the movie word for word, action for action.

I also mentioned in my comment about the movie Shaun of the Dead. I had people asking me about this movie after I posted the comment, and basically it's the same idea - a group of people holed up in a place of importance (If you could put it that way) while trying to survive during a zombie outbreak. Heck, the movie could be considered one big parody of Dawn of the Dead, if it weren't for the underlying romantic comedy.

Dead Rising is kind of the same way - campy, but with a few serious undertones. If anything, the people involved with the making of Dawn of the Dead should be extremely flattered, since all of it is skirting the bounds on parody.

How do I feel? I feel the whole thing is blown out of proportion. I'm usually not vocal about lawsuits but this one just crosses the line between valid and ridiculous.

I have one account already but my friend lives with me and he wants to play ranked games on halo on his games profile. He said he doesn't mind buying the Live subscribsion but can you have Two a console at the same time.Disturbed_mfr

Don't see why not - I had a Gold account, offline profile, and a Silver account all on one Xbox at one time.

As long as they are different gamer profile names (Which they will be, because the gamer profile's name will be the Gamertag.) I don't see why you couldn't do it. To keep each other from accessing the other's account though, when you recover the gamertags, you may want to opt out of saving the password to the Xbox 360. If you've already done it though, you can probably tell it to forget the password to the account somewhere in your Xbox Live settings I believe. I think it's under one of the account management options.

Wouldn't be a bad idea, but it would depend - if it's done, it's got to be done right. There are a few third person shooters that are really horrible with camera control/aiming, or the player model just looks downright ugly. Gears of War pulls it off nicely, so do several other games.

It's not an idea I'm totally against, but if someone's going to put out a bad apple, then no thanks. I'd rather have a bad FIRST person shooter instead.
