And here's a quote from the PS2 version of GRAW...
"Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter for the PlayStation 2 continues the disturbing trend of releasing games on different platforms that have the same name but offer vastly different gaming experiences. If you were wondering if Advanced Warfighter for the PS2 might offer something similar to the superb tactical shooter of the same name on the Xbox 360, you can stop wondering now. It doesn't, and it's not even close."
Yep, GRAW sure is the same game on the PS2 as it is on the 360.
There's a difference dude. A huge one. That's what makes the 360 version exclusive.

But you forgot that the PC version of the game INCLUDES "the superb tactical shooter" that the contrast of the PS2 game does not.
"The massive urban areas you fight in are even larger and more detailed than the already spacious areas in the Xbox 360 version of the game, adding a great deal of tension since this added landmass makes for many times more possible hiding places for bad guys. Also, there's more interactivity to the world and flexibility with the tactical map, which gives you more precise control over your teammates."

Would it be closer on the PC then on the PS2? GS seems to think so.
Not really, if anything the PC version is more like the ps2 version, which GS says is a completely different game if you compare it to the 360 version.
