You got a like from me because you mentioned sleeping dogs, which was an amazing game IMO.
Keep in mind you are responding to people who haven't played Watch dogs and are judging it by a 5 minute video and the score. This game looks great and I can't Waite to pick up my copy today.
I am not even sure if you are going to read this, but let me help you out. What Microsoft did at E3 2013 was unforgivable to people who read about video games 24\7. Their policy, their price, and their smug responses to legitimate questions drew a strong line with gamers. They lost a lot of their die hard fans with their E3 shenanigans. They are viewed as non trust worthy.
The average consumer is not on gamespot everyday, reading and, talking about video games. The fact that you don't know what system to buy means you are going to buy what is trending, especially if you are going to spend $500 (US). Again the numbers Microsoft gives are lies for investors. They have only sold around 4.2 million units but have shipped 5 million. Mean while Sony has sold over 7million and has been out of stock since April. (In-stock now) If this trend continues Sony will have double the amount of Xboxones sold.
Big retail stores like Best Buy and Walmart are not making any extra orders of Xboxones because they have so many in their stock room. (I work for retail) For six steady months PS4 orders where coming in regularly.
The last time a Xboxone was ordered for these strores was the TiTanfall bundle. But did you know all those big retailers at first refused to make a big order.(because they had to much Xboxones in stock) It was Microsoft who gave them an attachment deal. That deal came with a catch, which was a time frame on the sale of the bundle. Meaning if you did not sell it by a certain date you were going to eat the cost of the game it was bundled with. So they then delayed the 360 version to give them extra time to make the sale on the bundle. When that did not work they had to drop the price to $449 (the bundle) to make sure it did not add to their inventory, to get these units out of the stock room. Or inventory would have went up even though Microsoft assured them that these bundle were going to sell.
If you were doing the math and subtracted the 100 kinnect and the $60 game from the 449 bundle you have a $ 289 dollar system. We still haven't even talked about the fact that the PS4 runs 3rd party games better than the Xboxone in terms of the new hip word standard 1080p and 60 frames per second.
I am not trying to persuade you to get a PS4 or not get an Xboxone. Me personally I have a PS4 and plan on getting an Xboxone as soon as Gears comes out for it. I do hope i made some good points, but always get what you like. I would recommend you not making a decision before this years E3 2014. Xboxones answer to "Playstation Now" and 4k resolution could be the new deciding factors.
