Okay, so I've finally found a video game that convinced me to write another review: GTA IV. Never being a big fan of the GTA series before, I've essentially played it non-stop for the past two days. While I took a break I realized that I should definitely pursue a good review of the game... So, look forward to it.

The other day I had the pleasure of downloading and playing the free 5 song pack for Boom Boom Rocket. All I can say is: finally they made a song pack, and better yet, they made it free. I guess they saw the complaints of the gamers with the utter lack of content, and this free song pack really makes the buy worth-while. The difficulty level of these songs is really great, it seems like they ramped it up a little bit for those who have played a lot, but on the easier difficulties, it's definately much more accessible to those who have just started playing. In other words, this song pack really does make Boom Boom Rocket a worth-while purchase. Too bad the review can't be updated and the rating changed because of this, but that's only fair, I suppose. More news as it comes in I guess....

If you're looking for an annoying challenge where you repeat the freakin' same level 1273846 times just to try to get 4 or 5 stars, then play the new stuntman demo. STUNTMAN IS POSSIBLY THE WORST DRIVING RELATED GAME I'VE EVER PLAYED NOW. Jeez, they make that game so awful for perfectionists like me who refuse anything less than 4 stars. What ends up happening is the game challenges you... just too much they require you to do too much and if you mess up you MESS UP and have to start over again just to get 4 or 5 stars. I, for one, know I won't be buying this game in a hurry.

Well I finally made my decision, I chose the didgeridoo. I just placed the order, along with a couple of funny shirts (from another website, though.) In about 5 (business) days I should have it in! I CAN'T FREAKIN' WAIT!!! Well if I get good at it, I'll record something on my crappy mic and put it up on the web somewhere! Maybe later I can get a webcam..... Or someone could donate one to me, meaning I take one of their old ones that they ain't using anymore. I'm sure I can find that at college... or something. Alright, Steve out.

Oh yeah, and PGR4 will be set in 80s dance clubs (w00t to that techno song)

I have nothing against the confrence, I kinda liked it, if I could have seen a little better, I would have probably been able to enjoy it better, but oh well. I'm actually pretty psyched for re5, Viva Pinata 2, PGR4 (and I hate racing games), rock band (even though I keep thinking it will cost as much as a 360), sorta assassins creed, oh and CoD4!!!

Well it finally came in today, and I played the heck out of it. I've gotten to the very end on normal, so I'm going back to find all the secrets for achievements... so far I have these phone numbers, and I'm working on getting that the accidentally stoned nanny one that I can only find on the subway cars:

Oh yeah, and I think I'm going to order either a webcam or a didgeridoo (musical instrument for those of you who don't know). If I get a webcam I'll have some points reports or something and video reviews and stuff. Didgeridoo, I'll be playing music! Just thought I'd add that.

Well the other day I finally ordered the darkness, unfortunately I accidentally checked the cheap shipping so it'll take 5-10 days to come in. :( All I can do now is sit and wait and play some Gears of war to satisfy my violent itch, that and dead rising. Also, I recently finally got around to finishing the GH II campaign on expert and I'm 2 songs away from getting all 5 stars: misirlou and Psychobilly freakout. I know on both I can get 5 stars on the right day, I'm just waiting for that day to come. When I finally get that done I can really dedicate my time to buckethead. I can always get 59% of the way through but end up failing just before the solo gets easy. Once that's out of the way I can move onto the darkness (or play the darkness when it comes in, whatever comes first.) What sucks for me about GH II achievements was I was already pretty okay at the game before I bought it for the 360, so the easy and medium campaign achievements elude me... Maybe one of these days when I'm under the influence I'll get around to completing them... but it's a shame that it's like that. Well, I'll make another update when more news comes, and keep an eye out for more reviews as I will be working soon and when I get stuck at the front desk (I'm working at the library), there's usually not too much to do between patrons coming, so I will work on some reviews!

[UPDATE]: I finally got around to upgrading to total access, and when I checked my bank account it seems I wasn't charged for the darkness even though I got confirmation saying that the game is being shipped. So, we'll see how this plays out in the long run...

[UPDATE 2]: Alright, so I checked my bank account, and it appears that I was finally charged for the game, oh well at least I know that it is definately going to be at my house sometime soon.... I hope.
