Reposted from Primary Games Discussion, for some reason the mods thought I was talking negatively about a system, which I have no idea how this post is bashing any system at all, it's just preferences that are personal.

Anyways.

Just kind of looking for other gamers opinions here. We have had a PS3 for a few years and I have no issues with it. I recently left PC gaming because of relocating to the country but that's usually where I played FPS games on.

My only issue with the PS3 is the controller, while it's great for a ton of games, it sucks for FPS IMO, as my thumbs always hit each other and I hate using the shoulder buttons for aiming and shooting.

In your opinions, am I better off spending a mere $100 on the MLG PS3 controller so I can have the Xbox feel, or dropping the money on an Xbox itself and rebuying a few games I like to play? Is the MLG controller really worth the investment for those of us who hate the PS3 controller for FPS games?

Absolutely not. After 20 years + of PC Gaming I was forced to sell my gaming PC and give away my Steam account due to DD. I honestly loved it when I lived in the city and had 30d/5up connections. But with a much slower connection now and bandwith caps I now own a PS3 because of this. The great internet connections in main cities of the U.S. is a small percentage of the worldwide reality of internet services. The infastructure is not ready for Digital only Distribution in a main stream market.

Thank you for the Renegade info especially, my Shepard was Paragon big time. I may not like the character I'm stuck with. That helps alot right there.

I played Mass Effect 1 and 2 and did 100% on both, and did alot of scanning, mining, all side missions and no one has died. My problem is that I did this on my gaming PC which I no longer have. We only have a PS3 now. I don't plan on building a new PC, and I don't have alot of free time between work, kids, and a property to maintain. My dilemma is if it is worth it to replay ME 2 on the PS3 just to recreate my character to import into ME 3, or does ME 3 really need to have a character imported to make the experience any better. Does it really matter in the end? There are alot of games I have yet to play and want to get caught up on, so it seems time is my biggest enemy....thoughts?

I'm sure it will be fixed, however support isn't answering any requests anymore, we've received no notice of them fixing our accounts as well. They can post on their Facebook page but they can't release a statement acknowledging the problem..I think that's what irks me the most.

Origin will not fail, it's been around for more than 5 years and surprise :O.

When did this happen and how fast do you expect it to get fixed? Steam for example left users out of their accounts for as much as 3 days.

I'm going on day 2 myself now...some people have been told it was fixed for them, but are on days 8-9 now with no access to Origin, their EA accounts, and cannot log into their Battlefield games.

Ok, so your telling me that a service that's 5 years old has no good support system and no fixes. And a service that is that old will let a website jack your entire account by registering? Last night I retrieved a disable email account for a customer that hasn't used it in 3 years....it wasn't even registered to her anymore in our system...but I found a way to make it work. Yet I have a brand new Origin account and they can't even give one answer to me.

True, Steam had it's issues, and I hated it. I do like Steam....I have 139 games there but I'm not partial or a fanboy either. But at least with Steam you could get some support. As of right now EA has offered very little to none. I have no issue accepting services have issues, like I said I fix them all week long....but at least offer some support to fix it. I don't think that's asking too much.
