[QUOTE="carljohnson3456"] Wait, wait, wait. So Hot Shots Golf, MLB The Show 08, and GT5P were bad??? Uh no, and if you ask me that's a pretty decent little offering considering those games (besides GT5P) arent really a reason for the great 2008 PS3 argument.
So, this is 2008...
Blu Ray officially wins the format war.
PS3 starts outselling the 360.
PS3 gets rumble back, take it or leave it.
GT5P sells over 1,000,000 units before it releases.
Playstation Store gets a great make-over.
Killzone 2 is delayed into early 2009.
Killzone 2 finally gets a hands-on preview at PS Day 08, where it got mostly positive impressions.
Metal Gear Solid 4 releases next month.
Haze flops.
Resistance: Fall of Man 2, LittleBigPlanet, and SOCOM: Confrontation are all on the horizon.
GTA4 releases, the Playstation version still moving alot of units despite no DLC.
Multiplatform games becoming increasingly equal between the two platforms.
2008 doesnt seem as shabby as the TC stated now does it?

A few problems
#1 The PS3 was supposed to be alot more powerful than the 360, it isn't
#2 Blu-Ray won the format war, and sales immediatly dropped 40%, not a great start, and as I sit watching a regular DVD upscaled on my HDTV, I can hosnestly say there really is not a monster diffrence, HD looks better, but can be certainly considered a luxury when 480P look pretty good
#3 PS3 has not "started" outselling the 360, it did it on a small scale for 2 months, saying that would be like me saying the 360 dominated this month over the PS3, which it didn't
The Ps store is still lacking compared to Xbox Live, which the marketplace does not require a gold membership
I think the whole Haze thing is overblown with only one review, but MGS4 better score well, of the major fanboys will have a hayday, and if it scores like GTA4 the PS3 fans will wet themselves with glee
My other grip is a personal opinion, and not fact
Charging $40 for an overblown demo is a total Ripoff, Gran Tourismo should have been free, or less than $20, Why pay $40 when Forza 2 can be picked up for under $30, and that game is actually done, and pretty good
A few problems#1 I love this lame argument. A re we going to worry about how the games actually look now or what we were told about console power well before launch? Bill Gates said that because of the year lead that PS3 would never catch the 360. Yet, it caught it in just over a year with Uncharted. Should I piss and moan about how Bill Gates was wrong? Hell to the no!! Right now, PS3 is the console graphics king, what more do you want?
#2 Blu-ray won the war, fact. HD, blu-ray movies look better than DVD, fact. You don't see a major difference, opinion. PS3 came with blu-ray from the get-go. And fanboy haters wanted to beat the PS3 down because blu-ray would fail. Now it has won and the tune changes to "hd doesn't matter." Why did you by a 360 then? Do you realize you can stick with those great 480p images on the Wii and would have saved money?
#3 I'm sorry, who sold the most, world-wide, for 2007, PS3 or 360? That's right, PS3. And its been outselling world-wide, month-to-month since since. There's no "start" to it. The only time 360 held a lead in slaes was when it was alone.
#4 PS Store is everything Live marketplace is. Oh, wanna talk movies and TV shows? Got 'em on blu-ray or YOUR glorified DVD. Oh, wanna talk about XBLA? It's known to many as the whore-house of the downloadable games services. Good luck finding those 5 good games amongst the 100's there. PSN titles offer far more quality. Plus, with PSN, you play online. You know, that little tyhing gamers like to do. And you don't need a special "member$hip" to do it. The improvements made a month or so ago were huge. Deny it all you want.
#5 It's obvious you haven't played GT P. And I love how you take a full games' discounted price (after being so late after release) and compare it to an unfinished game's full price that will also eventually drop. Weak argument, dude.
