@SolidGame_basic: Maybe the entire premise of your thread being comparing Sony's State of Play vs Microsoft's E3.

Also, just updating this thread. The Starfield trailer is now at 9.7 million views at time of posting. It will pass the Horizon teaser within the week. 😂

Breath of the Wild is a 6/10 game that doesn't sell 200k copies if Zelda wasn't on the box.

Just to nuke this thread from orbit.......😁

Thats after what......6 days? There. The TC and Cows can kindly sit down and we can close this shitty thread.

Why don't you compare teaser trailer to teaser trailer?

You're using the Horizon teaser from 1 year ago, instead of the State of Play trailer from just 3 weeks ago, the one you posted in this thread? 😁

Also, that Starfield screencap I posted is now already outdated by 200k. Just an interesting aside.

That feel when every game on that poll is playable on Series X or PC.

Oof.

Imagine being last to the fight, and thinking it's a win.

Just like Cows thinking Sony not showing up to E3 is a dick-swinging move, instead of Sony not having enough content to fill a press conference.

From Xbox, IMO if you went into this show expecting to see Avowed, Fable, Perfect Dark, or Elder Scrolls, then you purposefully went in looking to be "disappointed" and pretend-outraged. They have fully laid out their roadmap for the next 3 years and they still have many developers unaccounted for.

That said, Forza Horizon 5 looks awesome, so I am not worried about Fable. Back4Blood in Gamepass is awesome as many of the dozens of other day one games announced for GamePass. There are currently 7 games on the coming soon page, 5 of which coming in the next 5 months, that I intend to play.

Just to put in perspective, each month for the next 5 months GamePass is getting Flight Simulator, PsychoNauts 2, Hades, The Ascent, Back4Blood and Forza Horizon 5. Those games are $295 seperately. Gamepass has more than justified its price for the whole year.

Im currently 13 hours into Yakuza Like a Dragon from GamePass. I almost bought that game a week ago, but I said "let me wait until E3". If you're a Playstation only gamer or are still skeptical of GamePass at this late stage in the game, or are otherwise just allergic to the Xbox ecosystem, your resolve is going to be tested this gen. You will be taxed for your fanboyism.

The biggest dissapointment for me, was Arcane Studios. The fact that Arkane Austin and Arcane Lyon, both studios from the only active Immersive Sim developer right now, are not making Immersive Sims.

When I heard that "project omen" was being developed by the prey team, I was expecting Prey/Dishonored with vampires. Nope. A Co-op live service zombie vampire shooter. That was the biggest letdown.

That is, the platform's first zeitgeisty blockbuster megahit, produced entirely in-house for the platform, and the final execution and actualization of Netflix's business plan, firmly cementing its proof of concept as the new status quo. Change my mind.

House of Cards single-handedly legitimized the idea of internet based "TV" platforms having original content produced for them, primarily for consumption on the internet, and conditioned people to expect the same standard of quality/production you expected from TV.

Gotta say, I'm impressed with how confident Microsoft and Bethesda seem about this game considering they're currently carpet bombing YouTube with pre-roll ads of the Starfield trailer.

I've seen the thing like 20 times by now.

I absolutely believe Starfield will be that game. The only thing GamePass needs is its "House of Cards" and "Orange is the New Black" moment. Change my mind.

I used to be fully on with all the MGSV conspiracies during the drama surrounding that game in 2015. Like the one that the entire game was Kojima playing a War of the Worlds level troll-job on the industry, and that Episode 51 and Chapter 3 were secretly in the game and would be unlocked at a later date, etc....

I used to check the subreddit R/Neverbegameover regularly.....etc...

Then 5 years went by, and nothing. Still no chapter 3, still no episode 51, still no reward if nukes get reduced to 0 on the global server, other than a cutscene. Both Kojima and his social media managers as well as other Producers/Voice Actors used to actively fan the flames of this on their personal twitter accounts (but subtlety, in a way that allowed them plausible deniability and the ability to feign ignorance.) They didnt actively participate, but they allowed the idea that there was some elaborate ARG going on to fester, because it benefitted them from a marketing standpoint.

So I no longer have any interest in conspiracy theories surrounding Kojima or ARG viral marketing gimmicks. I'll care when they actually announce a game, and not cryptic marketing.
