The Elder Scrolls VI alone is gonna cause major damage to ponies everywhere.

There are actually Cows who believe Playstation not having Elder Scrolls hurts Elder Scrolls more than it hurts Playstation, believe it or not, lol.

Skyrim was the 4th highest selling game on 360 and the 19th highest selling videogame of all time. It has outsold every GTA game except GTA5, and every Call of Duty game except 2019's Modern Warfare.

Just wait until that game's reveal and its marketing cycle is in full swing. If Cows dont think that game wont dominate the cultural zeitgeist in whatever year it come out.....well I'd direct them to click the front page of this website and tell me what the #1 most anticipated game is right now.

Maybe not all of Square/Enix, but I could see them purchasing the western elements of the company, Square/Enix Europe and the IPs they work on.

This. There was a rumor from 4chan a few weeks ago that was doing the rounds on Reddit/ResetEra, an all the rumor sites, claiming that SquareEnix was considering divesting from its western branch assets (Eidos, Crystal Dynamics) and selling them off, after the Marvel Avengers game flopped. Similar to what they did with IO Interactive.

Out of everything Square Enix has, IMO those are about the only things that would be of value to Microsoft. The rest? Sony can have them. Final Fantasy has not been the force it once was in the cultural zeitgeist in 20 years. SE is not what it was, and what little is left would be better served under Sony.

I would much rather see Microsoft get SEGA, imo. They have more of a history. If MS can get in there, free them from making low risk-medium reward projects focused on short term profitability/immediate ROI they could be a force to be reckoned with.

Sega's japanese in-house teams are incredibly talented. Imagine if they actually had access to blockbuster AAA-AAAA budgets like they did back in the dreamcast days. Give Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, and Panzer Dragoon Saga the Fable and Perfect Dark treatment. Rebooting Shenmue is even easier than Fable and Perfect Dark, because they dont have to build a new team from scratch and re-invent the wheel all over again. they already have an in-tact apparatus capable of building a modern Shenmue game (The Yakuza games are modern spiritual successors). Literally just migrate them to Unreal Engine 5, increase the quality control on their output, bring Yu Suzuki back, hand him an actual blockbuster budget (and not a kickstarter budget) and the game makes itself.

What MS survey really wanted to ask.

"Do you want us to fu**ing copy the PS5 dual sense?"

"Are you happy with the Inferior to the PS5 performance that you are getting on your 12TF machine?"

Do you honestly believe that Microsoft needed Sony's help to come up with any of the tech and features in the Dualsense?

That's a rhetorical question, I know you believe that. Like most Cows, you likely believe that this is some special technology that Sony invented, and only Sony's engineers possess the insight to come up with it.

In reality, they all get this stuff from the same suppliers, and Sony likely just extrapolated Xbox's roadmap with the elite controller, and used common sense to deduce that Xbox was going to have these features in their next controller, based on what they've done with the previous ones.

Let me tell you how this is gonna go down.

Microsoft doesn't add adaptive triggers - Lems on here say we didn't want that crap anyway

Microsoft adds them to new version of controllers - Lems on here THIS IS GREAT!

These guys are friggin lemmings man they don't care about anything but whatever phil spencer says

IP Daily be like, I love the feeling of this rumble in me pants!

Cows never cared about advanced controller features all gen, when Xbox was pushing them.

Cows response to anything anyone else does better is "its all about the gaems mann" "focus on gaems, we dont care about features" as if those things are mutually exclusive.

At one point, rumble was even a "last gen" feature. Until it wasnt.

Theres a Windows Central article from 2 years ago detailing Microsoft's patents on this:

https://www.windowscentral.com/new-xbox-one-resistive-controller-triggers-detailed-patents

With over two years since Xbox One's latest controller revision, Microsoft is seemingly preparing for the significant evolution in its lineup. Following rumor of a second-generation Elite and USB-C peripherals, newly-surfaced patents explore further improvements in development.

Reported by Windows Latest, Microsoft-filed patents detail potential changes to Xbox controller trigger (LT + RT) technology. The documents detail an "input device" leveraging a "linear geared feedback trigger" and "motor-driven adjustable-tension trigger." In short, Microsoft is experimenting with force-feedback and adjustable-tension, hoping to elevate real-time trigger feedback. The feature could allow titles to impose variable resistance on the buttons, repelling player actions in-line with on-screen actions.

Such a motor-driven, force-feedback trigger configuration enables the user-perceived state of the trigger to be dynamically adjusted in a variety of ways. For example, the trigger may be driven by the force-feedback motor to adjust a user-perceived resistance of the user-actuatable trigger. In another example, the trigger may be driven by the force-feedback motor to simulate a hard stop that effectively adjusts a pull length or range of rotation of the trigger. In another example, the trigger may be driven by the force-feedback motor to assist the trigger in returning to a fully-extended or "unpressed" posture when a user' s finger is removed from the trigger. In another example, the trigger may be driven by the force-feedback motor to vibrate the trigger.

We know Microsoft has already done a feature similar to this in the Elite Series 2 controller, with mechanical stops, rather than a digital motor. And they've had this patent for 2 years. It makes obvious sense that the Elite Series X controller will have this feature.

That didnt take long.😂😂😂

Now to Seat and wait for it to release and see every single lemming who downplayed the DS controller hype this one as the be all end all of controllers.😂

Well, Microsoft historically does make better controllers than Sony. Most people who've used one consider the Elite controller the best controller they've ever used.

Now watch a bunch of Cows (who I'm assuming are grown men and gainfully employed) who also all claim to have a PC gaming rig that destroys the Xbox complain about a $180 pro controller that costs less than their Keyboard and Mouse.

without it being called Gamepass Fodderâ„¢.

Let me be clear: If Returnal, or a game like it, were Xbox exclusive or was being promoted by Xbox, Cows would not give a liquid shit about this game. They would not like it in theory, in concept, or in execution.

Smaller games like this, when they release on Playstation, they are called "Sleeper-hits" or "Indie Darlings". When Xbox releases these games, they are called Gamepass Fodderâ„¢, and Cows would not only call these games trash, but Xbox and Gamepass itself would be attacked for these games even existing. This game is not only Gamepass Fodder, its Gamepass Fodder that Cows are happy to pay $60 for.

For proof, see Cows commentary here on games like The Medium, Vampire Bloodlines, or Scorn.

Scorn is one of particular interest. A game that is not even an Xbox exclusive, that was announced and shown on PC before the Series X was even revealed, and everyone on SW loved it then. But when Xbox showcased it on Series X, suddenly its trash, and looks like a 360 game? This was being said on SW (I'm sure for no other reason than its tangential association with Xbox). Any Xbox game that is not a blockbuster AAA game will be compared against TLOU, Uncharted, and GOW. Unless the PS logo is on it. Then smaller/mid-range games are allowed to exist, and be called "sleeper-hits" and "maybe this will be good", etc...

I cant be alone in believing Cows are literally only hyping Returnal so hard right now because of the PlayStation logo. Xbox simply could not get away with making this game, without being attacked by Cows. Lets talk about it.

.....

https://old.reddit.com/r/GamingLeaksAndRumours/comments/k36bre/sonys_secret_san_diego_studioteam_that_was/

Findings from the Resetera first party thread:

Quentin Cobb a Sr. game designer who was hyping their game for a long time has apparently left Sony per his linkedin profile:

https://www.linkedin.com/in/quentin-qtrain-cobb/

And another Sr. game designer has also left while tweeting this:

https://twitter.com/JustCallMeBau/status/1326718239670300672

The tweet makes it very clear that at the very least the team that Sony tried to create does not exist anymore, and likely that the game itself has been cancelled.

Really sucks to see a new studio that didnt even get its time to introduce itself get shut down, especially as per the tweet and the linkedin page the game got cancelled around when PS5 has launched.

The secret AAA team Sony was putting together, that was rumored to be working on a Spinoff Uncharted game, may have been shut down, and their game cancelled. This was supposed to be Sony's version of The Initiative/InXile/Playground Games.
