Why on earth would you want an MGS "reboot"?

MGS has one of the longest running continuities in videogames without being ruined. There is literally no reason to "reboot" the franchise. Just make "Metal Gear Solid Zero" (which remakes MG1 and 2) and fills in gaps between MGS5 and MGS1.

Does this mean neither Dota nor Counter Strike in top ten?

Top sellers, not concurrent players.

I can see some being in the top 10 but every single spot? No way, I can only seeing that happen for games like The Elder Scrolls 6 and Starfield since Bethesda games do super well on PC just look at how Skyrim and Fallout 4 launched and consistently stayed in Steam's top 10 most played games long after launch.

I can see most Xbox Game Studio games being top sellers on Steam since a good amount of them already are but I don't see them overthrowing the well established giants besides.

They were able to hold 6 positions at once, a year and a half ago.

To be clear ITT.....I dont mean top 10 for the month, or the week. Just that at any point, XGS simultaneously holds all 10 positions, for any length of time. Whether that be one hour or one day.

Im confident that at some point between 2023-2024, Xbox Game Studios published games will occupy all 10 positions on Steam Charts.

They came pretty close back in August 2020 with SOT, Gears Tactics, MSFS, Wasteland 3, Halo: MCC, and Grounded taking up 6 positions of the Top 10 Steam Charts (but MS didn't publish Wasteland).

Once XGS output gets properly going even more than they are now......oof.

Do you think it will happen SW?

Fun Fact:

Halo: Combat Evolved's OST is the highest selling video game soundtrack of all time.

Bungie made Halos? Yes, i'd say that they're unbeatable. 343i ones?🙄😊😂🤣The best they can do is rehash old Halo songs because they're not talented enough to create something worthwhile on their own.

Other than the song 117, along with like 2 or 3 other songs introduced in Halo 4, I agree with you.

Also, there were some good songs Tom Salta introduced in other games/media.

I have no clue why they don't just hire Marty O'Donnell back. The guy clearly still wants to be involved with Halo. 343 apes his sound at every turn. They straight up just use halo 1-3, ODST and Reach music in lore videos they post now. Like the same 6 songs in every video.

And Halo Infinite's entire OST sounds so much like a Marty O'Donnell youtube cover band, it puzzles me why they didn't just get the real thing.

Same thing with Michael Salvatori. Also they should have gotten Marcus Lehto (the creator of MC)to be the art director again. The guy clearly still views Halo as his magnum opus, and like Marty, its all he talks about on twitter. Hes been doing Warthog and Mjolnir fan-renders in UE4 for the past year lol. How in the absolute phook did Microsoft let him get picked up by EA to run goddamned Battlefield? dafuq?

Microsoft asleep at the wheel again. They would have been a perfect studio for Xbox/Gamepass imo.

Ah well, at least the good guys have tied up Asobo in First Refusal/Negotiation clauses for the next decade or so, so Tencent or Netease cant get their hands on them. Crystal Dynamics too. And likely Sega with that partnership. Microsoft......do something.

Is noone else ITT aware that the core team that developed Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay splintered off from Starbreeze studios and formed Machine Games, which is now owned by Microsoft?

It'll never not be weird when PlayStation fanboys cap for Unreal Engine 5 so hard, considering Xbox has like 9 in-house studios developing games for it right now (including the engine's best steward, The Coalition), and Sony doesn't even use the engine.

Just a reminder, Perfect Dark is going to be on this engine 👀
