Many will say no, but I play 99% at the time singleplayer games and I love it :) I'm just not interested on multiplayer games... I'm weird I know :P I especially dislike online shooters. COD4 is only shooter that I have played online and I have to say it is great!

Good SP games:
- Ninja Gaiden Sigma
- The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion GOTY
- Uncharted: Drakes Fortune
- Ratchet & Clank: Tools Of Destruction
- Resistance
- Assassins' Creed
- Half-Life: Orange Box

and many many more.

Amen to that brother! I play 99.9% singleplayer too! I have only been online multiplayer once with Team Fortress 2. It was nothing special.

Rainbow Six Vegas is awesome. Resistance and Call of Duty 4 (if online) are tremendous. Orange Box is a fantastic story with a cool weapon in the Gravity Gun.

Stay away from Turok!!!! It is garbage! So is Timeshift.

Personally, I feel that it is not that most games suck but that there are not many games being released. It has been slim pickings since the end of November and it looks to continue until March (Crisis Core).

Since you said that most games suck, what are the games that you like?

I have an idea for you! Since all your friends have the 360, you would be smart to get the PS3. You could get all the exclusives for the PS3 and they could get all the exclusives for the 360 and anytime you want to play a 360 game, you could simply trade with one of them. You friends will be glad you bought the PS3,because the game library will expand for you and them. Word of caution: Choose to trade with your most reliable and organized friend. One that you can trust to keep the PS3 in good shape.

Congrats on your purchase! I know that you will enjoy it immensely. All of the game recommendations here are good, but as far as your choices go, I definitely agree with Resistance. It was alot of fun, and now the sequel will be out in the fall! COD4 is a fantastic shooter with a great multi-player component.

Concerning the horizontal vs. vertical debate. It really does not matter. Just be sure that the PS3 has lots of breathing room to vent the warm air properly and you will be fine.

It should have given you the choice at the end to let Leon take Ashley up on her offer.

In all seriousness though, it should have included a flamethrower as a weapon.

It is a great game if you like the old school FF Rpg's. The difficulty is amped up compared to any of the modern FF's. I beat it in 45 hours with maxed out job levels and my characters at level 60. The only annoyance is the final dungeon, which is very long with no save points.

The story is very generic and point to point, but what should we expect from a game that is from the 8-bit era? I don't remember Super Mario Bros. blowing me away with its' storyline.
