Well...I guess my question would be: What kind of games do you like? I take it from your forum name that you like Zelda, so that is good news as Phantom Hourglass is tons of fun and it will get you used to the touch screen. That is the only way to play the game, so you can't help but become familiar with the stylus.

No matter what games you enjoy, The DS is a great choice. It has pick up and play games as well as 50+ hour RPG's. Mario Kart is a good choice if you like racing games. As others have said, games like Puzzle Quest and Final Fantasy are perfect too. If you like to figure things out and test your brain, you can try Phoenix Wright or Hotel Dusk. They are really fun and different.

I have never had a problem with my DS. No hinge cracks, no screen scratches from the stylus, no dead LCD pixels. I just treat it well and follow the one major rule: Don't use the stylus like a pen, pressing down hard on the screen. All it takes is a light touch.

How about Dragon Quest VIII?MellowMight

That is a great choice and you can get it for $20. The characters are hilarious and the world is huge! Tons of customizing and item creation. I did find it hard to make money though. The game is a challenge too, although it was not impossible.

Other than that, I agree with the other choices here: FF XII, Shadow Hearts 1 and 2, and don't forget the Xenosaga series. That trilogy was excellent.

I've been hooked on Ace Attorney lately, and am close to starting the second one, so yep....I've been playing my DS.jhockey9

Me too! I have been really enjoying Phoenix Wright. I am on the final case right now. After I beat it, I am going to play Revenant Wings and then Phoenix Wright 2.

Sorry about that...I guess you could try Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology or Jeanne D'Arc. Some people have said that Brave Story is good, but I have not played it.

Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror or Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow. Both are tons of fun and have great multiplayer online.

I don't think it is possible to connect to the internet with a wired connection. Do you have a friend that has a wireless router? You could use his connection to get the latest hardware update - version3.80. This gives you access to internet radio stations and also allows you to play PS1 games on the PSP if you have a PS3. It works pretty well too! My nephew tried it with Resident Evil 2. The controls were a little tough, but he was playing it.

Get both. They are both very good games. I would suggest starting with Jeanne D'Arc as it is easier and then moving on to FFT: WOTL. Of course, if you are a SRPG veteran, you probably would find no problem with FFT:WOTL first. Either choice, you are playing a great game.

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn - Commercially and Critically. This game is so much fun. I hate it when a character dies. I always reset the mission and try a new tactic as I can't bear to lose anyone. The story is political and not cookie-cutter.
