@KamuiFei geez, don't you read?!?!?!??!?! after metal gear solid 3, colonel ivan raidenovitch raikov got soooo tired of everyone beating the piss outta him that he then transformed his soft body tissue into harden steel and came back in MGS4 as the cyborg ninja raiden.... but because that idea doesn't follow a correct timeline they instead decided to sell the idea that PMCs are back and the war has started all over after MGS4. which totally makes more sense.

Hideo Kojima can be very slick with his wording. When he announced the game was in development and mentioned Solid Snake would be in the newest #'ed Metal Gear doesn't necessarily mean Solid Snake would be the main character nor does it mean he will be his old present day self.

As for a main character I wouldn't mind more of Big Boss continuing the story in the wake of Peace Walker or a prequel to Zanzibar Land. Perhaps even an updated and expanded upon Metal Gear 1 & 2 game. But from whose view point? Frank Jaeger/Big Boss/Master Miller/Major Zero/Naomi Hunter/Solid Snake. When the FOX Engine first showed jungle renders it made me think Zanzibar Land.

I would really like to see game mechanics from Peace Walker such as finding blueprints to build bigger and better weapons. Gaining points by supplying war economy with soldiers and such. I understand the whole drebin shop for MGS4. Without it, any weapons missed in the previous chapter would be forfeit for the rest of the game. I also enjoyed the New Game + feature of MGS4/PW. I've never thought as the boss battles as 'AWESOME' but I think MGS1 was the most fleshed out.

Most people will say that MGS franchise is all about the story and I'm no different. That is why the new MGS would profit from more CODEC moments. That is what made MGS3 my favorite of the series. literally 100's giving The Boss, Sigint, PARAmedic, Zero and EVA a real personality. I would spend hours just trying to catch every little codec within the game.

What was the best thing about MGS2... the ninja blade. BAD ASS!
