The Wind Through the Keyhole really didn't have anything to do with the gunslinger or his ka-tet. It was a tale told over a campfire to pass the time during a sandstorm. (It's been a while my memory may be fuzzy)

Anyway, I really question this Glen Mazzara's direction if he feels The Wind Through the Keyhole should be a prominent direction the series should head in.
