First 10 hours of GTA, new Zelda announced, and new Wii System Update

I can finally be a proud Nintendo gamer again :)

To start, I've played about 10 hours or so of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars so far. It's incredibly fun and addictive. I'm about a third of the way through the story (I'd probably be farther if I wasn't screwing around half the time, fans of GTA know what I'm talking about) and I've scored plenty of medals with side-missions. If you haven't purchased the game yet, do it. It might be the best DS game yet.

Today at GDC, Nintendo unveiled two VERY exciting things. First off, a new Zelda has been announced! The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks is the next Zelda DS game and looks to be a sequel to 2007's Phantom Hourglass. While it's disappointing that the next Zelda game will be on the DS and not the Wii, it's still very awesome news. Here's hoping that Nintendo finally unveils the next console Zelda game at E3 this year...

And finally, and most important, Nintendo has FINALLY solved the Wii storage problem!!! With a new system update that went live today, Wii gamers can play VC and WiiWare games directly from an SD card. Gamers like myself who have been out of memory space for a long time now finally have expanded memory on the console. If you need more space on your Wii, go update your system NOW! ;)

That's all for now people. Keep on gaming!

Superzone out.

Watchmen was absolutely incredible

Having read the graphic novel, Watchmen the film is satisfying on so many levels. I personally think that Watchmen is the best comic book film ever made (yes, better then The Dark Knight) and has easily become one of my all time favorite movies.

Just got back from DISNEY WORLD!!

Haha, that's right! I just got home from a week long trip to Disney World in Florida! It was the Junior/Senior band trip this year that we have been fundraising for all year. It was freakin' sweet! Sadly, we took a bus for the trip (32 hour drive there AND back. Ouch.), so I'm really wiped right now. But man was it a fun time!!

Happy gaming!

Mega Man 9 review

Whew, glad that top 25 songs list is over, I can post about other stuff now :)

Anyway, just posted my Mega Man 9 review. Check it out!

Superzone's Top 25 Video Game Songs: #1

#1: Zelda's Lullaby (The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, N64 1998 )

Surprised? You shouldn't be. Gamers who had the pleasure of playing through this incredible masterpiece know how special this song is. Zelda's Lullaby is the song that defined this amazing game and truly made you feel part of the story. Young Zelda meets young Link in the castle courtyard and tells him her premonition of doom looming upon the land and how she and him were destined to meet and save the beautiful land of Hyrule. Her lullaby, taught to you by her guardian, Impa, is a song that stays with Link in his heart forever. This song brings back seriously good memories to gamers who experienced Ocarina of Time and it is my pick for the greatest videogame song of all time.

#3: Super Mario Bros. Theme (Super Mario Bros., NES 1985)

I know what you're thinking: "how the crap is Super Mario Bros. not number one??". And you're right to think that. It's not only the most recognizable tune in gaming, it's also one of the most memorable tunes in pop culture in general.
