#14: Corneria (Star Fox, SNES 1993)

Star Fox on the SNES set the bar for future plane shooters in 3D. Along side the awesome, action-packed gameplay was an awesome soundtrack, the most memorable being the music from Corneria, the first level.

#15: Still Alive (Portal, Xbox360/PC 2007)

Easily one of the best vocal songs ever written for a video game, Still Alive was a nice treat to listen to every time you completed Portal.

#16: Contra Stage 1: Jungle (Contra, NES 1987)

Most gamers who played Contra back in the day remember the music from stage 1 as one of their favorite NES tunes. Others, however, probably despise it because it introduced you to one of the hardest games ever made.

#17: Vampire Killer (Castlevania, NES 1987)

Ahh yes. The first Castlevania piece. Vampire Killer is no doubt one of the all time great NES songs. It's catchy, and for some reason it matches the theme perfectly.

#18: Gerudo Valley (The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, N64 1998 )

While all of the field music in OoT is great, Gerudo Valley is the tune that really got your blood pumping and ready to explore the canyon wasteland.

#19: Metroid "Kraid" Theme (Metroid, NES 1986)

Kraid was on par with Bowser in Super Mario Bros. for the craziest boss fight back in the day. But for sure one thing that Kraid had over Bowser: his theme song was AWESOME.

#20: Punch-Out!! - Jogging Theme (Punch-Out!!, NES 1987)

Almost directly inspired by the Rocky movies, this cutscene featuring Little Mac and his trainer is very inspriational for an 8-bit game and the music is even better then what you're seeing on screen.

#21: Tetris B (Tetris, Game Boy 1989)

Russian's listen to some really cool music. My choice for #21 was a toss between Tetris A and Tetris B, and I went with B just because of it's more upbeat and lively feel.

#22: Halo Theme Song (Halo, Xbox 2001)

I honestly consider this song to be the start of the sixth generation of gaming (Xbox, PS2, Gamecube). It's a gorgeous orchestrated piece that gamers heard every time they turned on one of the greatest FPS games ever.

#23: Final Fantasy Intro (Various Final Fantasy titles, 1990 - Present)

It's one of the ultimate fantasy tunes in gaming. Listening to it at the title screen lets you know that you're in for one huge adventure.
