On my first playthrough, I try to get a 100% completion without looking for a gamefaq or a game guide online. After I've beaten the game once and decide to play it again, I'll usually check online to see if I missed anything cool like secrets, items, or special sidequests I might have missed the first time.

If the game proves to be really involving, like you can easily clock 40 or 50 hours into it, I usually won't stop halfway through. If I do, most of the time I'll just start a brand new game whenever I start playing again. Enough time will pass that I forgot what I was doing when I last stopped, and I feel that if I just start over, I'll be better prepared for whatever happens. This, incidentally, is the exact reason why I've yet to beat Oblivion!

Concerning secrets and sidequests, I try to find and complete ALL of them before I beat the game. I like experiencing the entire game instead of rushing through it and missing out on something cool.

If there is a strong multiplayer component, I'll jump in it occasionally, but I'm usually a single player type of guy. Like, if I'm playing F.E.A.R. for the PC, I'll go online and do some deathmatch if I feel like it, but it's not until I'm tired of the single player campaign. Then I can spend weeks playing online, but that's with fast-paced FPS games; if I'm playing an RPG that has an online feature, I usually won't play it. Except for games like Neverwinter Nights, online RPGs usually don't focus on a strong storyline, and that's a must on RPGs for me.

I don't even know what Wavdashing is or Snaking is....

Can someone explain or show examples?

And Nintendo is not turning there back...

They never will.

MarioMellow

Video explaining and demonstrating Wavedashing in Super Smash Bros. Video explaining and demonstrating Snaking in Mario Kart. Both techniques are generally considered glitches that can infuriate players by making matches seem uneven or unfun.

Some argue that they are "professional" moves, but both - especially snaking - can ruin a good game, particularly when an advanced player keeps using them against newbies. Luckily, in an attempt to balance out gameplay, the two techniques have been cut out of Brawl and Mario Kart Wii respectively.

I honestly couldn't decide which is a better series even if held under gunpoint. I just have too many great memories playing the various games to call a clear winner.

While the video isn't entirely about the controls, there's a good preview on Gametraliers.com on Opoona. Viewing it makes me want the game more, especially when he says it's a traditional RPG and makes a Dragon Quest VIII comparison.

I didn't realize Nintendo's entries were so limited compared to the third parties'. It's kinda funny because usually it's the complete opposite.

Looking forward to Dr. Mario, Eternal Child, and Final Fantasy. Also..."World of Goo" sounds like a really misleading title, but maybe it's just my dirty mind going into overdrive.

I want both, but I'm way more excited about Brawl. Just seems like a game that I'll never get tired of.

Seriously; that almost seems like the target audience for the game.

The first post in this thread lists some potentially great 2008 releases, and users give their thoughts throughout the post. A good place to go to find out more about Nintendo games that don't get that much attention is fansites like GoNintendo.com.

Haven't seen such creepy bunnies since Raving Rabbids! Oh, and I just paid attention to the physics when he was apparently casting that levitation spell. I can already see myself slamming giant cake slices at evil spiders.

Yeah...I'm starting to like this game more and more. Looks like I have another game to track.

I always thought the art style in the game was sweet! Looks like a really well done flash game. Looking forward to it; WiiWare games are showing a lot of potential.
