I thought the video review was alright, but I had already read "The Good" and "The Bad" on the review page, so I know what he liked and didn't like, the likes being the wealth of game options and the dislikes being some of the plaforming in the Subspace Emissary mode and the fact that you can't take user-made stages online.
A pretty good review, though I found 1up's so far to be the most honest. Basically, the reviewer said that if you love Nintendo this is the best game ever, but if you're a GTA/Halo type guy, you might like it...you might not. He gave it an "A". That sparked my interest to go to Game Rankings and see how the game was fairing: so far, there hasn't been any review that's dipped below a 90%, which is pretty cool.
I heard a while ago that they are going to make another POP game on the current gen systems. Not really surprising since it was a generally well-received series, especially Sands of Time which was GOTY for many when it came out.
I'm pretty sure it won't be a game based on the movie because the movie will be based off the first game. That would just be like remaking the first game, which we don't need since it still holds up on it's own. I just hope in the next game, we don't get the emo prince again; that leap to the dark side really annoyed me in the last two games.

Yeah, I'm particularly proud of that quote myself! Almost sig worthy.
Another pet peeve is quick-time events (or quick-actions, mini-games, or whatever you want to call them) that are misused somehow. Like in Shenmue; I loved the game, but most of the time I dreaded the QTEs. Parts of the story can be completely changed if you don't hit the A or B button quickly enough the split second it pops onscreen. Other times, they're a pain in games that don't control them well. In Tomb Raider Legends, I remember dying often in some of them because the controls wouldn't actually respond quickly enough. Also, did Tomb Raider really need quick-action events? That's the last annoyance I have with the feature: sometimes they are placed in games that don't seem to fit them. Adventure-heavy games seem like a perfect match, but I don't need them in FPS games.
So far, the only games that I can remember that pulled of quick-times right are Resident Evil 4 and the God of War series. RE 4 gave you enough time to pull them off successfully and didn't feel out of place, and God of War lets you choose to skip most of them if you want!
