This happened to me. These guys are right; your Wii's gpu is baked from gradual overuse (which happens sooner if you have it on standby/wiiConnect24 all the time, since it puts a greater burden and wear on the circuitry).

Look very carefully, you'll probably see it in other games, and possibly when you're just inside the Wii's operating system. Call Nintendo up and get it fixed :(

etbny22

And I don't have the money to get it fixed or to send it in.

nintendo will fix it for free, you get a 15 month warranty if you registered on nintendo.com

Yeah, pretty much. Unless you got your Wii at launch, you should still be able to get it fixed free. Even if you have to pay, I only thinks it's like, 20 bucks, so it's not much at all! Don't quote me on that, though; the warrently was still good on mine when it was acting up, so I got it fixed free.

Oh, and I thought someone already mentioned this before, but you might as well get it fixed now; It may only be really showable in RE4, but it's a system problem, not a game. Try putting in Wii Sports; when my Wii's GPU was FUBAR'd I saw green pixels in that and a couple other games. It'll only get worse as time goes on, so pack it up and send it in as soon as possible. Don't want to procrastenate, have the warrenty voided, and forced to shell out another $250 for a new Wii, if and when you can even find one!

If the game was built like one of the Country games or DK64, I'd come back to the series. In fact, the last Donkey Kong game I played was on the 64; I just don't do the bongos!

Your Wii's GPU is overheated. Same thing happened to me last year. It's not really because your system is on standby; it's because of faulty tech, and having your Wii in standby mode only speeds up the process. Don't be afraid to leave it on stanby when you have it repaired; it would have broken down eventually.

Now, on the subject of getting it repaired; just go to Nintendo.com and navigate to the page where it describes faulty hardware. It's been a long time since I've done it, so I forget where the info is exactly located. What will happen is basically, Nintendo will ask you what the problem is, they'll send you a form, you fill it out, they'll tell you to pack up your Wii and mail it to them with the form. A few weeks later, you'll have your Wii back with the green pixels gone.

Unless they have to give you a brand new console, all your Miis and VC games will be saved (though your Miis will be non-editable afterwards, and you may have to re-download your VC games - completely free, of course). Also, it may not take 3 or 4 weeks. I heard some people getting there's back like, 6 days later. It took about 3 weeks to get back mine, so your time may vary.

Maybe he thought it was a milk-bone...a really crunchy, blinking, Nintendo-sponsored milk-bone.

Dr. Mario, Tetris (because it's Tetris), FF:CC, Star Soldier; I think there were a few others, but I can't remember them right now.

I was anticipating Eternity's Child, but after seeing a video of it in action, a lot of that is gone. In it's defense, it was only 30 seconds and the game isn't done, but I just think it needs some work.

Besides having to wait a couple of minutes initially in friend battles for someone to join, I've yet to have any major problems with Brawl online. The only bad experiences so far are minor lag, and that's not even with every game. Even my random online fights have been relatively hassle free (never had to wait long, never kicked out of a game, and no lag, really). Any inconviences I've experienced with the game have been small, an it's been a while since I've played a game online that was this much fun.

Also; what's the deal with everyone hating friend codes. Maybe this is just because this is my first time taking a Nintendo first-party game online, but I don't see the big hassle. Someone gives me a code, I take 30 seconds to put it in, and I'm done! I'll admit I jumped on the "friends codes suck!" bandwagon before because my only experience with them was through word of mouth, but now that I've actually used them, it just seems like most people are overreacting.

Friends codes are useless. I had to do that with Animal Crossing DS, and it was a pain, especially since I didn't have wireless back then. Now I just want to get online and play. I have no interest in putting in dozens of friend codes from people who I don't know, and then hoping that they are online. If Nintendo wants a "play anyone" option, then I should be able to play anybody with it, don't you think. Heck, I already paid for the Wii, and for the game, and for the classic controllers, and the extra Wiimotes. What more do they want?

I sort of get where you're coming from, but since I picked up Brawl yesterday, I've entered 5 friends codes. Every FC has taken about half a minute to put in. Now if they were like old school NES passwords, where sometimes the code had letters that were case sensitive, and they required you to put in symbols like @ or #, and the interface wasn't as clean, THEN I'd be as ticked off with them as everyone else. The feature as it is, at least in Brawl, is so quick and easy I can't force myself to be annoyed with them. I wish they let you have the map customization abilities you had in random matches that you do in friend matches, but it's not a huge deal. I also wish they would let you play user created stages online, since I've already made two I'm proud of and I'd like to show off.

Now, I would wish that Nintendo set up their online where your Wii code was short and simple, and every online game only require you to put that short number in once to invite a friend. Maybe you wouldn't even have to put in the number; there could just be a big "Invite" button somewhere on the Home or Start menus when you're playing online. Like I said though, Friends Codes don't seem like such a big deal to me. I've done way more repetitive tasks for dumber reasons, so I just don't see where all the hate is coming from.

Super Mario 64 is a classic title, but I think the DS version is just the same thing, except minor improvements (graphics, I guess) and some additional game elements (you don't have to play as Mario). I haven't played the DS version, but from what I hear, you should probably just stick to that unless you want to contrast and compare.

theres more but i dont know when these will be released

wiii

re0

timesplitters 4

marioparty9- we know itll be happening eventually

second sight 2

the next zelda title

epayps2

Huh? TS 4 isn't a confirmed title, is it?

Timesplitters 4 is still TBA, and no systems that it will be released on have been announced, though the impression is that Free Radical will be favoring the Wii. David Doak from Free Radical has said "I think we want to put it [TimeSplitters 4] on the Wii" and "I'm sure it's possible to do a control scheme that works" (Wikipedia). So the game might not even come out this year, but when it does, there will most likely be a Wii version.

Oh, and outside of Brawl, my most anticipated game for the Wii is probably Mario Kart Wii. Then Okami, because I missed playing it the first time on the PS2, and SW: Force Unleashed. I also want to see how the game Monster Lab will shape up.

No more on-ground levels, please! I wouldn't mind using the tank or the submarine in some levels, but no walking missions!

Man, if the next game in the series could just grab some of the epicness of Star Fox 64, it would be a definite buy for me. Nintendo wouldn't even have to add in motion controls if they didn't want to; they could give you the option of tilt controlling your Arwing or using the analog stick on the nunchuk.

And take the awesome multiplayer from SF64 and put it online. MP kept me and my cousins thoroughly entertained at all the family get-togethers.
